Snapping my neck to the side to a satisfying crack, I make my way to the main office. Alex is already by the coffee machine brewing a cup. "You want a cup too?" She asks and I give her a light nod. "I'd love that." Huh....am so tired. "Hey Pari...did you see the pictures?" Alex says catching my attention. "Which pictures?" "It's the current rumor online." She ticks, staring at me like an alien from another world. "A big fan caught a picture of Xavier with his secret lover." Secret lover? Holy chocolate...what.

I let out a moan as I closed my eyes. I feel him run his tongue over my neck, and I can’t help but bite my lip. Out of nowhere, a shocking roar resonates from the door. I turn my head and see a livid Peter looking at us from the doorway. He’s panting heavily, and I can see he’s trying to hold back. “What the fuck do you think you’re doing, Parker?” I open my eyes wide, look at him and say, “Parker? Who is Parker?” Peter, without leaving his place, tells me with a hoarse and threatening voice, “My twin brother.”

I hid it under the long flowy gown I wore. He approached me with an umbrella, because of the enormous downpour. "Miss Charia, you shouldn't walk in the rain. Look at how drenched you are. You should have placed a call to me. I would pick you up anywhere" Peter seemed like he didn't know who was his boss. He always treated me calmly and made sure I wasn't in any way uncomfortable. I guess Alpha Ryder kept it a secret that I was a criminal and Peter thinks I'm just one of his boss's love interests.

There’s always a clause when it comes to things like this though. Just because he’s given me more insight into Caelum’s new name doesn’t mean I’m going to find anything even if I’m now dealing with a new name. He changed his first name to Maximoff. Smart. “What does he do for work? How old is he? And… does he have a criminal past you can help me with?” That last question comes out as cheeky as I can make it and I smile cheekily too. The bartender bursts into a chuckle, it’s low and heady.

“Oh yeah. We’ve heard of her. She’s mated now?” “Yep, to Raptor, the leader of Alpha Squad.” “Oh my goddess, mother! I need to apply for the Warrior Academy,” Kira says. “Jude told us his codename is Hacker. Do you have one yet?” Dane asks. “I do. Thankfully, Jude gave me a better one than I gave myself. When I started digging around to get information about someone for my brother, I used the name Peter Pan. Silly, right?” I ask. “I think it’s adorable,” his mother says, putting her arm around me and leading me to the car while the guys get our bags.

He kisses my shoulder and stands, sliding out of me. “You know I wouldn’t be calling you if it wasn’t,” I hear Quirin say. I crawl onto the bed while Henry turns and sits beside me. I move behind him, wrapping my arms around him while I listen in, making sure nothing is wrong in our pack. “Do you know an Alpha Peter, Henry?” Henry growls. “Peter Moore? Patrick’s younger brother?” he asks, looking at me. “I just got off the phone with Wendy and Hacker. Apparently, Peter is the one who was planning to buy Piper.”

I twisted to look at Avi. “My wife and daughter have been singing your praises since yesterday. I have to admit I was a bit jealous I didn’t get to meet you. The name is Peter. Peter Heroux, previous Alpha of the Lunar Lake pack. It is a pleasure to meet you.” Peter reached his hand out through his book stacks and over the edge of the desk towards me. “Iris. Iris Armando of the Black Moon pack.” I smiled as I extended my hand out to shake his. “And future Luna of the Lunar Lake pack.” Peter grinned as he settled back in his chair. “So, what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?”

Peter's pov I'm Peter Ace Carnell, a 16-year-old. I can say that I'm not that good at school, but I'm good at selling things, sports, boxing and, for my luck, I'm good at programming especially hacking. My life isn't easy. I live with my mother. I work in the Blackstone mafia as a stealer, so I steal cars, jewelry, money... Sometimes I distribute drugs and even sell them. Anyway, I was punished by the men in the mafia several times but not as harshly as the other kids working here. Once one of the leaders got really angry with me and hit me with the belt. I'm really scared of belts to the point that I don't wear one.

Carlos said that “ I have every right to bother you when you are following unidentified people. Do you even know this guy? He could be a freak or something.” “Who are you calling unidentified people?” Peter heard that and took out his driver's license from his pocket and handed it to Carlos, “Now big boy, my bio data is on the driver's license and I am not an unidentified person now or do you want more?” Peter extended his hand to say h*llo to Carlos. "I am neither a freak nor a random person. I am a rock star trying to make a name out of myself in this big world." Carlos ignored his hand and Peter pulled it back. Peter ruffled his hand in his hair to hide the embarr*ssment.

The guards bristled at the slight movement, pressing their spears closer to him. Xavier raised a hand, halting their movements. I watch as Peter reveals a coiled snake tattoo, just below his ear. I've seen it a couple of times. I never thought it meant anything. But watching as Alpha Xavier stiffens, a momentary look of hesitation in his eyes, I realize that I couldn't have been more wrong.
