CORALINA'S POV Standing on the high northern parapet of the Frost-Hearth, the wind from the sea whipa my silver hair across my face in tangled, icy ribbons. Down in the bay, cutting through the thick grey fog of the coastal gates, a massive naval fleet rides the heavy swells. Nearly thirty iron-hulled warships, their pre-Pulse engines groaning with a low, mechanical growl that shatters the silence of the cliffs, sit anchored in our waters. They fly no pack banners—only the ragged, black-and-silver colors of the Western Coalition.

I yelled to the shadow dwellers. The battle became a blur of tooth, claw, and violet sparks. The shadow dwellers fought with a ferocity born of three hundred years of waiting, leaping onto the silver needles and tearing them apart with their bare hands. I stood at the center of the storm, my arm a literal conduit of the mountain’s rage, blasting the ships out of the sky as they neared. But for every ship we destroyed, ten more took its place. We were being buried under the weight of a superior industry.

“If you were ordered to, you could’ve done it back in New York.” He didn’t bother replying. Enough talking. He charged. The cuffs swung through the air, slamming into his face. Blow after blow landed—Caitlin was fighting like a cornered animal. In the distance, several speedboats appeared, cutting through the waves toward them. Phantom took a heavy kick to the ribs and slammed into a sharp metal edge. Pain flared white-hot as something tore into his lower back, blood gushing from the wound. Caitlin pressed her advantage.

Memory became heat. Both ships folded inward without fire. Aaliyah swore so hard the command center's profanity filter gave up and filed a resignation notice. "Two ships lost," she said. "No debris. No explosion. Boss, they did not get destroyed. They got edited." Katherine was already moving, fingers flying through layered displays. "It removed interval distance. Structural separation collapsed into conceptual adjacency. It is not attacking mass. It is attacking the permission things have to be apart." The compass in Jack's hand burned so hot his palm blistered.

Then I saw them—there was a set of about fifty ships moving in a formation on the water. They were heading toward the borders of our land. The moment the people on the ships spotted us, arrows started flying up into the sky. Vermithor dodged the arrows easily by twisting his body in the air. He was very fast. Then he went into a full attack mode. He dove low toward the water, opened his mouth wide, and sent streams of hot fire across the ships. The wood caught on fire instantly. The sails burned up in the heat. Men screamed and they jumped into the water to escape.

The three men quickly realised they are witnesses to an unprecedented war erupting. Firepower flared from each of the clashing side. To the young men, never has the silence of space been so deafening in a scene so violent and aggressive. They have fought the Zhinras before -- but not like this. In the initial few seconds of the clash, a number of ships, possibly a hundred, had already gone into flames or decapitated - most of which are numbers from the new arrivals.

"Dammit, these seven fellows really think that we are easy to bully!" Among the warships, Feng Canyun and the others could clearly see the movements of the Seven Killings of Blood. With angry on their faces, it was obvious that these seven guys were going to fight to the death.

At the same time, a fleet of about twelve large ships began to enter Yin Mimi Bay. “Throw fire arrows at all the intruder ships!” shouted the troops from the Yin Mimi fortress. And so, the war began to break out that night!

Each vessel flew the silver shadow of House Nox, but these weren't the modest coastal patrol ships his ancestors had maintained. These were instruments of conquest, designed to carry war across oceans and challenge powers that had never faced serious external threats.

“Because no one else can do it.” The ministers around the table murmured in agreement. She continued, “The seas and rivers of Fantasma are infested with monsters—leviathans, razor-finned sharks, and things that turn fishing boats into graveyards. That’s why every nation avoids large-scale fishing. But we don’t fear monsters. We have warships equipped with depth charges, sonar systems, and harpoon cannons. The Royal Aeternum Navy has already neutralized major threats along our fishing coasts.”
