It's been two weeks since I moved in with Xavier. My first day here, Xavier gave me a cell phone. He programmed his phone number, Jax's, along with Ryker's. So that way I could call them whenever I wanted. No one else had my number. It took me awhile to learn how to use the phone. I had never owned one before. So it was a foreign concept to me. I also had to keep on remembering to bring it with me. So often I would forget about it. Either at home, work, even a restaurant. I wasn't used to always having it. So I tend to lose it often.

However, she couldn't help but wonder why he never called her to see if she was okay. "Xara, are you okay?" Penny snapped Xara out of her daydream. "I'm doing well," she said with a smile. "Hey, your phone has been ringing non-stop for a couple of minutes." She gave a mischievous smile to her friend, who quickly grabbed her phone to see who was calling. The caller ID on her phone displayed a simple "Unknown" tag, piquing Xara's curiosity. As the car sped away, Xara pressed the answer button, placing the call on speakerphone for her friends to join the conversation.

Bellatrix navigated to the phone section and indeed, there was an unsaved number that called last. Clicking on it, she brought the phone to her ear and listened to it ring. The line was answered on the fifth ring and Bellatrix listened intently to the voice that filled the other end. “Now this is unexpected. Do they allow phones to criminals in detention centers?” Bellatrix froze. That voice… Well, this has got to be a sick joke. Pulling the phone away from her ear, she hung up without another word, tossed it to the man and grabbed her purse.

I raced back to the living room and snatched my phone from the table, then quickly answered it without checking the caller's ID before the call would end. "Hello?"
