Sarah stretched out her body as she closed the book she finished reading. She stood up from her dressing table, lifting the book up above her head. "What an amazing story," she bellowed and pecked the front cover of the book. She loved the content she read which talked about each pack with the territory. It was an amazing journey that all packs took to grow and became large as they were now. She read the different stories about each pack and she marveled at their characteristics.

I reached for the recent book I was reading, a book titled Tales beyond the five Kingdoms. I had picked out this book when I first heard father and mother would be traveling beyond the five Kingdom. I had wanted to get some insight about the land beyond the Five Kingdoms, but the book was filled with nothing more than the scary tales sailors would tell the villagers when they pass through the kingdom. I had hoped a book about beyond the five Kingdoms would settle my mind and assure me that my father and mother would be safe on their journey. But the book is filled with shadowy creatures and monsters that feed on humans and animals alike.

I couldn't leave this behind. Okay, what else? I never travel before. This will be my first time. Then I remember a book that I borrow from the Library. It's about travelling to human's teritory that I already read for these past few months. I pack it back along with my other things and now I'm ready.

But I also knew Zu-Zu would keep him occupied and his mind off of me as much as he could. "You never known sweetie. Maybe you are right. Maybe it's a good thing you haven't found him yet. I think a year of traveling is going to be good for you. You go ahead and finish packing. Make sure your bags are by the door so daddy can load them up tonight. That way in the morning all we need to do is get dressed and go." She says to me with a smile. "Thanks mom. I love you and good night." I say as I quickly hug her and run towards my room.

The little girl gaped at the pictures in wonder. “Can a mermaid travel all over the world?” she gasped. “Did my mermaid also see all these?” She was heavily engrossed in reading the book, wondering about the places she wanted to visit just like the mermaid in the book. Her parents were supposed to take her out the week they disappeared. She was looking forward to the trip and even insisted her mother that she would pack for it by herself. They were supposed to go to a butterfly garden outside of the city and Alina was waiting at their house for her parents to arrive.

Tell me about it.” I slide the manuscript across the table, my heart pounding as she picks it up. “It’s a series for children. Each book follows two siblings, Ella and Max, as they go on adventures that teach them about kindness, courage, and love. It’s not just about fantasy worlds or magical creatures, though there’s plenty of that. It’s about family and how the bonds we create can carry us through anything.”

“How about a summary of the book? What do you understand about the story so far?” “Um,” Juliet rubbed her temple, thinking hard. She thought about it for a very long time. “Well?” “Im sorry but I’ve got nothing.” She blushed. I put up my hand at that moment. The teacher sighed. “Yes Maya? Do you want to attempt to answer the question?” “Yes.” I nodded. “Gulliver’s travels is just as the title suggests. It’s a travelogue that depicts details of Gulliver’s adventures during his journey to different unexplored regions of the world. He has quite a great time discovering new civilizations and unusual creatures.”

She listens with her whole face, eyes wide, lips parted like the words might escape if she doesn’t hold them inside. I pull out a book with colorful illustrations, one I know she’ll like. She’s curious, always asking why, always pointing at the tiniest detail on the page that most people would miss. Reid, not so much. He’s Caleb in miniature, restless, impatient, always chasing movement instead of words. But that’s fine. I like the challenge of finding something for him too, even if it ends up being a book about wolves who fight dragons just so he can roar and act it out while I read. Taking note of the books for Rose, that I will take along with me when I visit home.

On the cover was written, "The Secret Adventure Book." Excitedly, they opened the book and saw pages filled with beautiful pictures and stories of adventures in distant lands. "Wow, this must be a magical book!" exclaimed Damian. Sira nodded in agreement. "Maybe if we read this book, we can join the adventure!" she said hopefully.
