Romans & histoires Picture Books About Shapes

And even when they hadn’t… I no longer let them land. I had too much peace in me now. There wasn’t room for shame anymore. Back at the house, I carried the books Darren had ordered for the nursery upstairs and placed them on the newly assembled shelf. They were all hardcovers with soft pastel covers and gold-stamped lettering: Goodnight Moon, The Velveteen Rabbit, Where the Wild Things Are, Dream Big, Little One, I Am Enough. I traced the spine of each book with my fingertip, whispering the titles softly.

Juliana smiled seeing little who was so fascinated by the world of books. Ishak looked at the beautiful animal pictures on the covers of the animal books, his hands excitedly reached for one book after another that caught his eye. Juliana saw how excited Ishak was, her heart was full of happiness seeing Ishak who was so excited about exploring the animal world.

,said Zane "So bye bye shape-shifters",said Helen. "I've learnt more about my history from this one chapter in a children's book than I have learnt all my life, from history books",laughed Emily "Come on! History books are nothing but scrap books filled with pictures of dead people",said Bennett "But....listen,about Earth, how come Earth is a kingdom ruled by a queen or a king, and we don't know about it? I mean, Earth has countries, Presidents, prime minister, right?"

he said. Inside were pages full of pencil sketches and short, clumsy sentences—none of them professionally done, all of them exactly him. There was a crooked family on the first page with two parents and a rescue dog named Bix. The second page had a sketch that looked suspiciously like our penthouse couch, with the caption: Where Tuesdays live. The book was a hand-made children’s story: The Little House That Held Tuesdays. Each page held a tiny adventure—the first puddle jump, the first burned pancake, the time a kite escaped and came back with a ribbon.

The walls are covered floor to ceiling with bookcases filled with books about all sorts of different creatures from around the world. "I bet we can find out what kind of creature your mate is in one of these books," Ryder says. Excitement bubbles inside me as I start scanning the titles. There are books about dragons, unicorns, and even books about creatures I've never even heard of before. I make my way down one of the aisles, running my fingers over the spines of the books until I come across one that catches my eye. It's called "Shapeshifters: A Comprehensive Guide."

The kind meant for older kids but that August had started gravitating toward because picture books didn't have enough words. "This one is about a robot who wants to be an astronaut." Carter held up the first book. "And this one is about deep sea creatures. Real ones, not made up. And this one—" He pulled out a thick hardcover. "This one is about how bridges are built. It has diagrams." August's eyes went huge. He took the bridge book with both hands like Carter had given him something precious. Opened to the first page where there was indeed a detailed diagram of bridge architecture. "This is mine? To keep?"

“You bet. That baby set me back three hundred big ones. Ralin’s not getting anywhere near it—at least not until we know how lethal he is.” The object of their discussion sat at the table across the room, engaged in a rare moment of quiet leafing through a picture book his grandmother had given him. The book was filled with colorful illustrations of magical creatures like dragons and unicorns, as well as wizards and warriors. Looking at the book was one of the few stationary activities capable of holding Ralin’s attention for more than five or ten minutes. Leesa supposed the book provided as good an early education into the world of magic as could be expected for a toddler. Now it was time to

"I don't know maybe because Jace isn't here so I don't have anyone to talk about manly things with so..." "And Jace isn't here so...yea.". Jack shook his head, when the teacher came in and i open my book, this time I wasn't surprise to see a picture in my book,This time it was a picture of the letter U's a huge one that filled the whole page filled with smaller U's. "Now I'm really curious".I took out the rest and place them out. I took out the rest and place them on the table laying them out. The heart first then the baby, then the U and the eye.

The students each chose a picture book and read quietly. Jonathan sat by the window, focused on reading a picture book about the world of wild animals, when Teacher Ria walked over and sat beside him, asking kindly. “What are you reading, Jonathan?” Jonathan looked up and excitedly held the book cover toward her. “I am reading about the animal world. It says here that in the A****n rainforest there are pythons that are dozens of meters long. It is really fascinating.” The teacher smiled and affectionately patted Jonathan’s head.

Corrian says as we pass a reading nook with oversized bean bag chairs and a shelf full of books no toddler would read. I catch one title, ‘Teeth Are Not for Biting (But Sometimes They Are)’. I raise an eyebrow. “Special how?” He doesn’t answer. We pass a hallway lined with artwork. Crayon drawings, finger paints, but some of them are odd. Red scribbles in circular patterns, shapes that look more like symbols than animals. One has a giant black figure drawn with scratchy lines and tiny words underneath it. I lean closer. ‘The Bad Ones Are Coming.’
