From a Trip to a Toy

From a Trip to a Toy

Her voice quivered, on the verge of breaking. "Harriet, I know you're upset, but I really want to go abroad and see what it's like out there. I come from a poor family, and I've only left the city a few times in my life. "Now that I finally have the chance, please don't make this hard for me and let me go," Katie begged, tears spilling down her cheeks. Her shoulders shook slightly, as if she had been wronged. Lisa immediately stepped forward, gently patting Katie's back and rolling her eyes at me.

Corrian says as we pass a reading nook with oversized bean bag chairs and a shelf full of books no toddler would read. I catch one title, ‘Teeth Are Not for Biting (But Sometimes They Are)’. I raise an eyebrow. “Special how?” He doesn’t answer. We pass a hallway lined with artwork. Crayon drawings, finger paints, but some of them are odd. Red scribbles in circular patterns, shapes that look more like symbols than animals. One has a giant black figure drawn with scratchy lines and tiny words underneath it. I lean closer. ‘The Bad Ones Are Coming.’

When My Husband Lost Me, His CEO Found Me

When My Husband Lost Me, His CEO Found Me

Next week I will have another scan to check the baby’s growth. I wished with all my heart that everything would be fine. After a few minutes, I was leisurely walking down the streets, enjoying the warm sunlight and soft breeze. It felt refreshing. After walking for a while, I had no idea why I ended up slowing down in front of a bookstore. My gaze lingered on the display window for a moment, stopping at one specific book. “Little Bear Loves His Mama the Most.” The title of the book, with its light blue hardcover and beautiful illustrations, made me stare at it for a long time.

The CEO's Contractual Wife

The CEO's Contractual Wife

Wandering the Dubai streets alone when I could be back in Los Angeles with Olivia, probably annoying her while she worked on Cornerstone materials. I replaced the book and moved to the travel section. Coffee table books displayed stunning photography from around the world. Iceland, Peru, Thailand, and New Zealand. Places I'd been for business but never really seen. "That one is beautiful," an elderly woman said beside me, pointing to a book about the Scottish Highlands. "I went there once, many years ago. The photographs don't do it justice." "Is that right?" "Nothing compares to standing on those cliffs, feeling the wind, smelling the heather." Her eyes grew distant with memory. "You should

I am reading this book and the other book you are currently serialising. Both have exceptional storylines, excellent grammar and I am absolutely obsessed with reading them. My only disappointment is with this novel you are only updating every weeks with between 5-7 chapters which is no enough.
Karen Terry
Absolutely love the two leads! Great book so far, can't put it down. Loving the way their love story is unfurling. Can't wait to reread it from start to finish when it finishes... but so far loving every new chapter as they come out! One of my favorite books. Keep it up!!! ...️

No More Unloved Wife: The Mafia Queen Returns

No More Unloved Wife: The Mafia Queen Returns

The students each chose a picture book and read quietly. Jonathan sat by the window, focused on reading a picture book about the world of wild animals, when Teacher Ria walked over and sat beside him, asking kindly. “What are you reading, Jonathan?” Jonathan looked up and excitedly held the book cover toward her. “I am reading about the animal world. It says here that in the A****n rainforest there are pythons that are dozens of meters long. It is really fascinating.” The teacher smiled and affectionately patted Jonathan’s head.

Carry My Child, Miss Laurier

Carry My Child, Miss Laurier

To spot my attention to the other things around, I pick the book I had earlier and scan for an interesting sub-topics. I sighed and started flipping pages again to start entertaining myself. *** It isn’t always comfortable or easy—carrying your fear around with you on your great and ambitious road trip, I mean—but it’s always worth it, because if you can’t learn to travel comfortably alongside your fear, then you’ll never be able to go anywhere interesting or do anything interesting. And that would be a pity, because your life is short and rare and amazing and miraculous, and you want to do really interesting things and make really interesting things while you’re still here. I know that’s wh

There's not much furniture, but she has bookshelves a-plenty. Michael Critchton, 'Travels'.... Paul Theroux, 'The Old Patagonian Express'.... 'A Year in Provence'.... 'Around the World in Eighty Days'.... 'A Short Walk in the Hindu Kush'.... "I detect a bit of a trend in your reading," I comment as Mitch emerges with two coffee mugs. She dimples. "When I was a little girl, I always wanted to travel, to have adventures." "So, have you travelled? Where have you been?"

After Divorce, My Boss Made Me His Obsession

After Divorce, My Boss Made Me His Obsession

“I figured this way, our children will get to see the world through our eyes. Not just through screens, but the old-fashioned way, one story at a time. Every time we travel, we’ll turn it into a book.” I looked up at him, completely undone. “I’m speechless… I love this.” He brushed his thumb along my cheek. “It’s just the beginning, Aurelia. Seven books for now, but one day, there’ll be hundreds. We’ll explore every corner of the world together.” My heart thudded like it was trying to memorize the moment. “I can’t wait,” I whispered, fingers brushing the covers of our stories. They smelled like fresh ink and beginnings.

Rejected Omega Mate

Rejected Omega Mate

Sarah stretched out her body as she closed the book she finished reading. She stood up from her dressing table, lifting the book up above her head. "What an amazing story," she bellowed and pecked the front cover of the book. She loved the content she read which talked about each pack with the territory. It was an amazing journey that all packs took to grow and became large as they were now. She read the different stories about each pack and she marveled at their characteristics.
