Games of Invictus

Games of Invictus

Although he didn't like it, hiding here has given him the ideal opportunity to gain critical Intel of his position and the forces fighting for power in this region of space. Turns out, the entire field consists of destroyed ships. There were ships which looked more like flying cathedrals than anything else. A bit away from them blood red dagger shaped ships from various sizes were floating around. Probably a leftover from a long forgotten war, but now a goldmine for others looking for pickings.

Two worlds that collide

Two worlds that collide

Mario asked, excitement flickering across his face. "There is a second warehouse," Chloe said, her eyes narrowing. "It’s an old cold-storage facility in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, disguised as a defunct meat-packing plant. It’s registered under a shell company called 'Apex Logistics.' And here’s the kicker: the Sovereign isn't the only ship. There are two high-speed transport vessels—the Valkyrie and the Wraith—that are trailing forty miles behind the main ship. They move without transponders. They dock at a private pier three miles north of the main terminal, exactly one hour after the Sovereign hits the port."

The Dragon's Silent Shadow

The Dragon's Silent Shadow

Tristan chided softly. "What? It’s practical advice," the pirate muttered, flicking ash into the river. "There it is," Saoirse whispered, stepping up to the railing. Looming out of the fog like a concrete mountain was the Vanguard Depot. It was a brutalist masterpiece of Imperial logistics. Eight massive cylindrical silos, each capable of holding tens of thousands of tons of grain, rose hundreds of feet into the night sky. They were connected by a labyrinth of steel catwalks, loading cranes, and heavily fortified watchtowers.

The Pack's Vampire

The Pack's Vampire

They had wept when the vampires had abandoned the treasures on the docks and replaced them with food. The third bay was barred along one side, a brig used for disobedient sailors, hostages from other ships, or, as the vampires were using it, for slaves. As he entered the pirates crammed into the small space so tightly that they had to sleep in shifts there being insufficient space for all to lie out, looked up at him with eyes just beginning to fear.

This series is epic, a real nail biter! Yes, it is dark and touches on many uncomfortable issues, but there is redemption and forgiveness and healing. It shows that people can overcome their past and true change is possible with love and communication. I love the characters, especially the vampire.
Fox 2005
very dense story. highly recommended to start with book one, else you are missing too many information needed to understand the different timelines and points if view. yet these arches are more than necessary for the density. showing perspectives, helping the reader to understand the characters...

The Empress’s Debt: Reclaiming the Billionaire’s Throne

The Empress’s Debt: Reclaiming the Billionaire’s Throne

It wasn't the Holy Syndicate. From the fog emerged a fleet of "Ghost Ships"—commercial freighters, private yachts, and even fishing trawlers, all manned by people who had been "Decommissioned" by the Syndicate’s global seizure. They were the waitresses from Singapore, the coders from Geneva, and the soldiers from New York who had refused to go back to their "Stations." The lead ship, a battered Northwood icebreaker, pulled alongside the black sand. A woman stepped onto the deck—Mina, her eyes tired but free of the neon-green glow. Beside her stood a thousand others, their faces grim and determined.

Precious cargo

Precious cargo

David doesn’t realize his car is swaying from one side of the road to the other. “I’m almost home” Suddenly he hears a siren behind him and sees blue flashing lights in his rearview mirror, he panics “ Oh shit!” and slams his foot on the accelerator at that high speed he is unable to make the corner and smashes into a traffic light. The force of the collision shatters his door windows and slams his head into the deploying airbag, knocking him unconscious.

DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH

DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH

The Sovereign Fleet As the last piece of the code clicked into place the VALE_09 engine showed a detailed map on the library's screens. The North Atlantic area, which had been the focus of their fight for the three years, was completely dark.. The Pacific Rim was lit up with dozens of green nodes. Elena's eyes got wide as she sorted out the hidden assets into a list of what was most important: The Shadow Fleet: More than forty big cargo ships operating out of Singapore with no visible connection to the Vane company.

The Anointment

The Anointment

It was Myllyof’s plan to depart in Beltizar and take the road again by foot. Their means of transport up the broad Mondo was an unblemished ship that went by the name of Silver Hawk. It had two main masts holding two sails apiece, plus a third mast used only if needed. The ship was also equipped with fifty oars below the main deck. Three men manned each oar. Many of the oarsmen were prisoners or pirates captured along the river route. The boat was lined with one hundred shields per side, to be used in battle if needed. There were twenty large crossbows and hundreds of long bows located on both sides. There was another weapon known as the ‘fire breather’. It was for shooting a long stream of

The Charismatic Charlie Wade

The Charismatic Charlie Wade

Charlie laughed and said, "This is the oldest ship in the hands of Ito-Schulz Ocean Shipping Group, and it is the cargo ship with the smallest load. It has been standardized to be eliminated and dismantled in three years and yet, you still chose such a ship. Is it because you are trying to save me money?" Porter hurriedly said, "Mr. Wade, saving money is only part of the reason. The main reason is because we really do not need to occupy a larger and better cargo ship. In truth, a 30,000-ton cargo ship is also actually a bit of a waste to be used to deal with pirates. I think that it does not matter even if the ship is smaller.” Charlie nodded and said seriously, "This ship is not only for yo

Jack steered the pod past, picking up speed as he went. A huge ship appeared in front of them. Darts came and went. Jack pushed by, dipping underneath away from their turrets. More large ships appeared and finally one of theirs. The little pods looked like grapes on the side of the ship. The ship sent missiles out. Jack pushed the pod faster. He wasn't about to get caught in an explosion.
