I nodded, forcing a smile to my own face. I remembered Kanyon from well over a year ago. We had never been friends, but we hadn't been enemies either. Simply two people who had very different friend groups. Kanyon had completely changed over the years. Braces came off and muscles replaced the acne. I couldn't stop myself when my eyes flickered over to where Asher was standing. My blood turned hot in my veins, chafing uncomfortably. Alpha Asher was fighting Chelsea. I could hear her obnoxious giggles as she tried to throw a punch at Alpha Asher, only to have him block it and yank her forward. He was being unnecessarily gentle with her, only fueling my anger.

"Sir, if I were, I'm pretty sure I'd know." Asia answered, rolling his eyes at the absurdity of the question. "Fine, then you'll need to prove it. Rei, get him." Kamman gave an order, and Rei instantly moved, reaching him in seconds. Asia gave way to the punch, which missed his face by a whisker. He was caught off guard, but his reflexes were insanely good; he grabbed the arm that had thrown the punch and twisted it behind Rei's back. Rei was quick and escaped his grip, but two jabs met his ribs as Asia spun around, fast as light. Asia then swept Rei's feet, sending him sprawling to the ground.

You seem like someone who has spent too much time chasing their destiny. A tiny smile tightened her lips, but she remained silent. Now their issues were more serious. The sharp peaks of the Ashen Spires towered in the distance as she looked beyond the horizon. As though sensing her uncertainty, the shard pulsed softly in her backpack. As the sun began to set, the sky turned scarlet and amber, and they paused to rest. Zara discovered a safe haven behind a crooked tree, its twisted branches extending like skeletal fingers into the darker sky.

Just then, a small head peeked through the suffocating smoke. “Madam, do you need any help?” someone asked timidly. I forced my eyes open and saw a young boy who was about the same age as my son. He was covered in ash and dirt, but his eyes shone brightly through the smoke. He was so small in size, yet he managed to muster the strength to help me up. Then, together, we slowly made our way outside. The path to the outside was incredibly challenging, and I felt like giving up several times.

Luciana POV "Now, bitch you can finally get out of my way." With an expressionless face, I stood watching Ashley been tortured to death. "Finally, there is relief in my heart." Even my wolf is at peace. One would think of me as a wicked friend. Wicked is even an understatement. If there is a quality much bigger than wicked, I'll gladly accept it. "Hehehe, who cares about Ashley anyways?" For the past two centuries, I've been a shadow his in her own shadow.

I fold my arms rebelliously. “Ooo, I’m going to stop you right there, darling. I’m no boy. I could show you if you have any doubts,” Paxton retorts, suddenly amused. Caden curses and turns to his perverted friend. “Paxton, you don’t want me to warn you again.” “My bad.” Paxton lifts his hands in surrender and goes back to attacking the sushi. Asher looks pale, sitting between these two jerks from Stanford. If not for my pride, I would gladly set him free from this horror—hell, myself even.

She tried again and again, but nothing. "Bhaera, fall back!" Cassius’s command boomed across the field. As she darted back to our position, Cassius gathered his power. A massive spear of pure mana materialized before him and shot forward, silent and lethal, barreling toward the creature's chest. It struck with a concussive force that we felt in the air around us, but no sound. We held our breath. Instead of piercing its hide, the spear simply shattered, dissolving into a thousand fading motes of light.

Despite knowing his name, I want to hear it from his mouth. He had been quiet since he took over which is an opposite character of Xavier. Xavier is never the type to be quiet. I have expected his wolf to be like that also. But I guess I have assumed wrong. “What about you? What is your name?.” I asked while facing his direction. “I am Austin! It’s nice meeting you.” He answered in a deep but calm voice. At least he has the same calmness as Xavier.

Asher sidestepped and got of the way just in time to earn a nick by the chest. Asher growled deeply,word flashing his own yellow eyes. If I didn't stop this fight, they were going to kill each other here and now. "Xavier! Stop" I shouted but Asher looked at me in anger and lunged after Xavier. I gasped as he managed to grab his hand and try to bite him but Xavier transformed his legs and kicked him, sending him a good distance away. "Please! Stop!!" I shouted again, hoping they'd listen to me and actually stop.
