Royal Blood

Royal Blood

We both ran through the hallways, our feet drumming noisily on the stone floor. "What's going on?" I yelled over the din, "Why is everybody running?" Streams of servants were joining us, dashing as quickly as they could, carrying all kinds of objects. Clothes, food, water, bedding... "It's the rebels," Mahra told me in a frightened voice, "They're here." Just as she spoke, men dressed head to toe in black appeared at the end of the hallway we were running down. They were armed with knives, spears and bows.

The Alpha King's Prophecy

The Alpha King's Prophecy

Then at least we’d have fair odds. “The war needs to end,” Gilliam urged. “And it’s clear that the Autumn coven are the key to ending it.” My eyes went wide in confusion at his words. “What are you talking about?” I demanded. “Don’t play stupid!” he shouted. “I’m talking about the prophecy.” My confusion only deepened. Gilliam had made it seem like he didn’t believe in the prophecy, so why was he invoking it now? And how had he concluded that the prophecy required the death of my coven?

The Prophecy Workbook of False Accusations

The Prophecy Workbook of False Accusations

I'm reviewing a math practice test the night before the college entrance exam when I spot a chunk of red text that shouldn't be there. "At 10:00 pm, your sister's classmate, Britney Lowe, will come to your house asking to stay the night. She'll say she had a fight with her parents and has nowhere else to go." "At 2:00 am, she'll sneak into your room, then call the police at dawn and accuse you of assaulting her." "The police will arrest you, and you'll be sentenced to three years in prison. Your younger sister, Lizzie Brown, will become the target of school gossip, and unable to face the online bullying, she'll jump to her death." I frown as I read it, assuming it's some kind of prank.

PROPHECY OF THE MOON

PROPHECY OF THE MOON

At the center, an elder with hollowed cheeks and piercing, unnatural eyes stepped forward. "The prophecy speaks once more," the elder intoned. "The child of dusk and moonlight has awakened." A murmur rippled through the gathering. Another figure, shrouded in deep red, hissed, "Then the chains will break soon. The lost will rise again." "But she is unclaimed," a voice countered. "The path is not yet set. She wavers between destiny and defiance." The elder’s gaze turned toward the stone altar at the center of the room, where symbols older than time itself had been carved. "She belongs to us. The first king’s bond cannot be severed. If she does not come willingly, we will ensure she has no choi

A Prophecy of Crowns and Harmony

A Prophecy of Crowns and Harmony

June asked as she sat down on the couch in the sitting room of our apartment in the palace. “The prophecy — the one my sister received, that was sent to her as a warning — well, the deities also sent it to me.” June nodded, and I stood behind her, my hand resting on her shoulder. I had explained the prophecy to her during our week in Seeravi, when we’d been preparing for our attack on Tobias and rescuing the destroyed packs. “It’s over though, right?” I asked. “‘But the light will sunder them and turn them to dust?’”

Such a wonderful book! I loved all of the characters, and that the author had POV for most of the main characters. The storyline was great, with twists I didn't see coming. I can't wait to read her other books!
