The theory suggests the story weeds out those who can't or won't integrate into a more unified, adaptive fighting force.

In 'Demon Slayer', notable characters who met their end include Rengoku Kyojuro who fought valiantly against Akaza. Shinobu Kocho is another character who succumbs to a poisonous attack by the Upper Moon Two, Doma. Genya Shinazugawa also met his tragic end during the Infinity Castle arc.
