He pushed open the door and jump on me on the bed gigling. "Morning, Maa," he said cheerfully. "Good morning, sweetheart," I replied, hugging him close. "Did you sleep well?" He nodded, his eyes shining with happiness. “Did you miss me in your new room?” “No,” August answered shaking his head. Well that’s not very nice. "Yes, Aunt Cook made us pancakes." I smiled. Even I did not know the name of the cook or any of the workers in this place. I made a mental note to learn their names as soon as I could. "That sounds nice. Did you save any for me?"

Amber hesitated - unsure if the question demanded a reply or was simply a grumble to herself. "A girl," she answered softly. The woman's eyebrows lifted in surprise. "Smart mouth," she sneered. "Too bad that'll be humbled here." Amber frowned, puzzled by the bitterness, but said nothing more. The woman stepped aside and opened the door wide. Amber noticed a packed box standing just inside, an unspoken farewell to the role about to be passed on. "I'm Cressida," the woman said flatly, "ex-maid as of today." Amber blinked. "Wait, you lived here?"

Portraits of Judy Sierra adorned the walls — elegant, commanding and dripping in diamonds. She looked like a queen who had ruled the world and won. We were led through the house and out into the vast backyard where several people had gathered under white tents. A few guests greeted Law and Leon. Some even acknowledged Silas. I slipped away from their shadows, needing air, and wandered toward the perfectly manicured gardens. A young maid approached me with a tray. “Would you like anything, miss?” I gave her a polite smile. “No, thank you.” She looked at me, then her gaze drifted behind me. Her cheeks flushed and she smiled shyly before quickly turning away.

He added. "Oh that reminds me, what about the maid you told us your mom is gonna hire before she travels again" Francis said and I was dumbfounded, I looked at Peter waiting for him to say something again. He got me into this trouble. "Yeah, Mom got me a maid" Peter told them Jeez.. "You have a housemaid?" Francisca exclamed. "So where is she?" Vincent and Francis asked at the same time. "She cooked the meal and went out. She would be back tomorrow" Peter finally said to them and I heaved.

Less work for me. “Wait a minute—how do you know my size?” “Apparently the maids tell Marvin everything!” “Okay, not creepy at all.” I scratched my head. It was a good thing to know these maids were all up in my business as well. “Thanks for your help, Amy.” I thanked my new ally. “It’s good to have someone my age in this house.” I sighed. “The other maids are boring, Panther is annoying, and Marvin is ugly.”

Maria said as all the maids laughed out loud. "Have you girls heard of the mask party coming up at Prussiate? The king and his wives will be leaving the castle tomorrow!" Melanie, Queen Zinnia's handmaid, said with a smile, "At least I get to rest from serving my mistress for these few days." "I know, right? Queen Zinnia is the worst queen ever; I hate serving her," a maid from the other end said and rolled her eyes. "I wish I have a choice here."

Across the hall from where Peter and Drizella were sharing an intimate night was the room that the sick maid Maddie was in. Maddie was the head servant Malcolm's sister, and he had come to watch over here along with a fellow maid named Alma, who was there when she first collapsed in the hallway.

She hands Mariah a towel and a royal blue t-shirt and a wide leg pant which is an odd combination but she doesn’t care what she looks like at this moment as she might not be alive in the next 15 mins. Mariah loses all hope and goes to wash herself up.

Upon hearing the name, I turned away from the maid and looked at her. She's who? Is she the one who I think she is? "Uhh... yes, president. There was a rat earlier," the maid replied, then looked at me with a grin on her lips. As in a toothy grin, her pearly white teeth came into view. Wow, she can be a model for any brand of toothpaste. And I felt my knees weaken with that smile. Wow, what's going on with me? And again, she's what? Who is she?
