Toni made sure to eat an entire sandwich and make some appreciative noises. Thaddeus tossed her an amused smile. She just glared as she chewed-on her second sandwich. A witch might have made them, but they were really tasty. Thick-cut honey ham layered with sharp cheddar and mustard on a fresh bun. She'd not realized her level of hunger until she fed it. Marc was on his third sandwich before Circe seemed satisfied and deigned to answer Thaddeus. "A war is coming, Thaddeus. One that threatens our existence."

Without looking up, she said, “Hey, Todd?” “Yeah?” “What’s the best place nearby for a sandwich that isn’t sad?” I grinned. “Corner deli on Maple. Order the Number Five, tell them no onions unless you want to be miserable.” She bit back a smile. “Thanks.” “I’ll be back in twenty. If you want, I’ll grab you one.” She hesitated. The pause wasn’t suspicion. It was the polite calculus of whether accepting help means you owe something. “Turkey on wheat?” she asked finally. “No onion.”

Jackson broke off another piece and set it on the plate. He reached for a different dish for himself. Ham and salami on wheat bread with mustard. He was going to miss Margaret. The sandwiches were all cut into four triangles. Perfect bite-sized pieces. “Sometimes I think Margaret might be a little bit psychic,” he confided to Wren and smiled when Wren’s ear twitched up before flattening back down. “Want to try mine? Ham, salami, and mustard. Usually she doesn’t let me get away with not putting some veggies on there too.”

Nate took the menu from Anna and looked at where she had pointed, and handed it back. “Anna, you pointed to the club sandwich. Is that what you want?” Anna stated at the menu. Where she thought she had seen a picture of the fesenjan, it was a club sandwich. Anna had no idea what fesenjan was, or why she would order it even if it had been on the menu. “Sorry, must be the lighting in here. I’ll have the club sandwich.” Trying to hide her embarrassment, Anna lit a cigarette. “I know, don’t lecture me. I’ve cut back to only two or three a day and usually only when I’m home. I swear there was a different picture on that menu when I ordered whatever it was I ordered.”

“This is the best sandwich I have ever eaten, Alissa! What the heck did you put in this?” She shushes him loudly seeing Hope was eating her cereal while watching her tablet. Paw Patrol was on the screen. “Don’t curse in front of her. She catches thing easily.” He nodded, unable to hold his laughter and continue to have another bite. She smiled looking at him enjoying his food. It was just a simple ham and egg sandwich with roasted tomatoes and lettuce with few sauce available in the kitchen but he looks like he was eating a fine dining cuisine. Who’s exaggerating now?

Where did he come up with that? They looked more green than yellow, and the sign on the glass clearly stated their name. "The pepperoncini." The guy's friend tapped the glass where the first had tapped. "Those are banana peppers," I added more to the sandwich before sliding down the counter and adding the ridiculous amount of mayo, oils, vinegar, and seasoning the guy wanted. I was in the zone, barely looking away from my sandwiches long enough to call out to the rest of the customers that I'd be with them shortly.

She wanted to see what menus were served. "Can I taste some of it?" Rene asked Sandro, asking permission to pick a sandwich. Sandro nodded without looking at Rene. He was still pretending to be busy watching his orange juice which was a normal color with a normal taste. Sandro looked at his glass as if there was something strange about his drink. Rene sat down and ate her strawberry sandwich. “Mmmh… The starwberry is real, it has small bites inside.” Rene praised the bread, indeed the bread was made from real strawberries, the jam was processed by the waiters and used as filling for the sandwich. Almost all the inhabitants of this palace like it.

“And I bought ten pieces of golden donuts too!” She watched as Liam opened his pack of snacks and munched into a small piece of bread with golden fish eggs on top. Suddenly, realization hit her. Her throat dried up, studying what was on top of the bread. ‘That's - that's caviar?’ Her eyes widened as she reached for the receipt. Her heart nearly stopped, seeing the sandwich cost a thousand dollars! Liam was eating an Albino Caviar sandwich! ‘This kid!’ She thought. ‘This is such a high maintenance kid!’

My poison! The sandwich my secretary brought in a while ago from John rests on my work table staring at me. My stomach was already filled with the aroma. Unwrapping it from the serving pape, I nimble at it before gracefully shoving it in my mouth. The sandwich was usual, spicy chicken with cream cheese on a bed of lettuce. I've always loved this sandwich, and the only other one I love is peanut butter, one of the childish love that I can never get over.

“You want one?” Kissing her cheek, he smiled at her before turning and looking at the sandwich. There needed to be a different word for this … monstrosity. Rye bread with mayonnaise and mustard. Three types of cheeses. Five types of deli sliced meat. Romaine and iceberg lettuce. Sliced tomato, pickles, cucumbers, bell peppers, banana peppers and black olives. “Yeah.” He answered with a soft chuckle. She gave a small laugh as she finished her sandwich and pushed the plate away before grabbing another paper plate leftover from the party. “Coop? You want one?”
