I toss Piper a towel and a bottle of water.
“You are incredible, my mate,” I say, kissing her.
“Thank you,” she says, grinning. Her face is flushed but her eyes are bright and she looks happy. Very happy. It makes me happy.
“Excuse me, Luna?”
I look down to see the young pup who is tapping on Piper’s thigh.
“Carrie-Ann, don’t bother Alpha Piper,” her mother says walking over.
“It’s no bother,” Piper says, crouching down in front of the pup. She’s only four. “What can I do for you, sweetheart?”
