My thoughts are becoming fuzzy, my head is light, and the pain ebbing away due to blood loss. Braxius ran over and kneels down beside me, holding my hand. He is seeing a young soldier and knowing I'm about to die.
He still doesn't realize it is me.
"Thank you, soldier," he reverently states.
"I love you, Braxius," I say quickly before I won't be able to have the chance to tell him. My was lifeblood slipping away, and my body was weightless, no longer tethered to the ground.
