He was back down here again. The lights of his pod illuminated the murky water. The signal of a building blipped on the monitor. It read "Truex Industrial Building 704C." The pod sunk lower and the lights of the building shone through the porthole windows, sparkling as the pressure field shimmered around the structure. The building looked just like any other warehouse. Even though it was the middle of the night, the lights were still on. It wasn't strange since there was no sunlight down here. People tended to work at all hours.

Kensington noted, a pleased smile on her lips. "Thank you for this opportunity, ma’am," Elena said quickly, nerves making her voice slightly breathless. Mrs. Kensington waved a hand dismissively. "I admire your eagerness. Let’s get straight to business." She gestured for Elena to sit. Elena lowered herself onto the plush seat, her heart hammering in her chest. "Blackwood Enterprises has over fifty properties in and outside the country," Mrs. Kensington began. "This city holds its headquarters, which is why Adrian Blackwood is so well known."

The speedometer climbed—eighty, hundred, one-hundred-twenty. Forty minutes later, I pulled up outside The Apex Pavilion, a sleek, black-glass monolith that looked more like a corporate headquarters than a gym. Inside, the air was climate-controlled and smelled of expensive leather and ozone. Polished octagons with high-definition replay screens lined the main floor, and the hum of high-tech training equipment filled the space. I could hear the sounds coming from inside. The thud of flesh on flesh. The roar of a crowd. This was the Underground.

Elena's POV “Your what?!” I blurt out with my voice echoing through the quiet space. Ryan Blackwood just stands there calm as ever with his hands tucked into his pockets like he’s talking about the weather. His dark hair falls slightly over his forehead and his eyes... those cold, unreadable eyes... don’t even flinch. “I said,” he repeats slowly, “I want you to pose as my girlfriend for two months. Nothing more.” I blink at him, sure I must’ve heard wrong.

Curiosity pulling her forward, she gently pushed the door open and stepped inside. Her breath caught in her throat. It was a gym—no, more than just a gym. It was an extravagant, state-of-the-art fitness room, with every piece of equipment she could imagine and more. The walls were lined with mirrors, and the ceiling was high, giving the room a sense of openness that felt almost surreal. The logo “Mr. Black” was emblazoned on everything—the dumbbells, the weight machines, even the towels neatly folded on the side. It was a reminder that this place, with all its luxury and power, belonged to him.

Instead, I nodded, silently urging him to continue. He paced a slow circle, hands shoved deep into his pockets, the tension radiating from him like heat. “Blackwood Enterprises is under attack. Competitors, media, even insiders… They’re trying to take me down. And if they find out about us, about you, it’ll be the perfect leverage.” The weight of his words hit me harder than I expected. I had known Dominic’s world was complicated, but this was another level entirely. I wasn’t sure I was ready to be part of it.

-I like what I do- She smiled as the alpha uncoiled her arms, took her hand and helped her down the stairs at her own pace. His omega had been in bed for several days so his body was still somewhat numb. They collected the few things that she had in the room plus the laptop that the alpha had bought for her to entertain herself and went through the doctor's office before leaving. Among the indications was that no intense physical exercise for at least a week, take a list of medications specialized in regulating your omega status and plenty of rest. Falcon had memorized everything, one by one and the part of a week without touching his omega was the one that worried him the most.

The place is banned until the official opening which is this Saturday and I'm really happy because Panda Health product is a part of this. "You keep advancing the place" I smile when I walk in. There's some new set of workout tools on display again and more benches. He'd also changed the wallpaper and the lightning is awesome. "I want it to be magnificent and worth PHT products" Jake grinned and I smile. So much effort. "I'm looking forward to seeing your wife this Saturday. She sounds like an amazing woman. The way you've talked about her" I muse and he nods proudly. "I'll make sure she's here"

she smiles. “No, no. I think something much friendlier would be better. Blackwood is a little dark.” I shrug at her stern look. “I’ll think of something.” “Okay, but don’t take too long. Once those plans are in and approved, they will construct the building before you know it.” “How are you doing?” She asks while taking a seat. “I’m good.” “I heard a rumour….” Jen trails off with a wink. I sit back. “Oh yeah? What did you hear?”
