“A…Alpha…” a female voice stammered in my head. I frowned; I channeled my Alpha power to see the face of the woman speaking in my mind. Emma came into view; I don’t talk to Emma often; she’s a quiet one. She hangs out with Cara and Alison, and Silver has come to know her as a friend over this past month. Emma works in one of our pack clothing stores and I know she aspires to be a designer. She kind of just does her own thing and I never really had a reason to engage with her. She’s never mindlinked me out of the blue like this and I immediately grew worried.

"You think you can threaten us? You are just a woman, alone and outnumbered. Their loyalty is to me. They will not be swayed by your empty threats." Emma's lips curled into a cold, sinister smile, her eyes gleaming with a dangerous glint. "Empty threats, you say? Let me assure you, gentlemen, that the power and influence just my father has is unmatched. My husband and my father have resources at their disposal that you cannot even fathom. They will stop at nothing to avenge me and protect their legacy."

She was nevertheless a great threat to them as proven and to be proven. Emma was spectacular, fierced and so committed that she thought of nothing but violence all along. She probably ranked first in the kill count William and Willow were keeping, for her kills were always a dozen at a time. She focused and used her powers apace burning a large figure at time without allowing close contact. She was merited by her glowing eyes, enabling her get a vision of the fast immortals very much earlier before they reached, and she took advantage of it and made a hell of mess with them.

Thankfully the power rejuvenators that Macario made for them really helped with giving them that power to keep practicing. The sheer power that emanated from Emma was incredibly sexy. She could be unstoppable against any foe of her choosing. She had always been a force of nature, and this only increased that. It created an insatiable hunger for her with both Kai and I. Watching her utilize the siphoned magic always ended the night in an intense round of love making. She surely was not complaining about it.

Emilia asked in plain astonishment, eyeing Emma. Emma giggled proudly and shrugged. "My mother said it is power I got from my grandmother. I don't even know the name. I just know that I do certain things that are beyond a normal Lycan." They burst out through the backdoor and into freedom. "What are we going to do now?" Emilia skimmed her eyes about the meadow that has turned greener due to the rain from last night. "We go riding!" Emma clapped her hands hysterically and ran towards the stables, Emilia following behind without any idea where they were going but delighted to be finally free once more even if this might get them in trouble.

' Reina rebuked her. Emmaline's vulnerability wasn't hidden from her but the way she was losing control, Reina feared she would reveal her identity. Emmaline was born with a special power. Unlike other werewolves, she could change with or without the consent of her wolf. The bridle of her decisions was in her hands. Even if Reina is calm, Emmaline can evoke her if someone pisses her off. The best example was David whom she nearly choked to death when Reina was initially trying to calm her down. But that jerk kept pissing her off and eventually pushed her wolf’s buttons as she had to come out to defend her friend.

Liam's eyes widened in surprise, and he took a step closer to Emilia. "What do you mean?" Liam asked. Emilia's eyes locked onto his, and she felt the power surging through her. "I mean that I have the power of the ancient gods inside of me," Emilia said. "I can feel it, Liam. I can feel it coursing through my veins." Liam's expression turned serious, and he reached out, taking Emilia's hand in his. "We need to get you to a safe place," Liam said. "We need to figure out how to harness this power."

“You underestimated me, all of you. You thought you could control me, but you were wrong. The pain you inflicted, the lies you spun—they have fueled a power within me that you cannot comprehend.” With a surge of energy, Emma unleashed a wave of power, knocking Carrington unbalanced. He stumbled backward, his facade of control shattered. Panic filled Emil's eyes as she too was affected by the attack. She struggled to regain her footing. “Emma, please!” Morris pleaded, his voice laced with desperation. “We can still fix this. We can find another way. Don't let your anger consume you. Let me lead you out of here.”

"He's using your fear. Your desperation. To get you to Victoria." "I know. But what if it's real? What if she really can stop the degradation?" "Then she'll want something in return," Marcus says. "Victoria doesn't do anything for free. She'll want you. Your DNA. Your cooperation. Something." Emma thinks about four years and six months. About becoming normal. Powerless. Vulnerable. About fighting this war without enhancement. Without strength. Without mattering. The thought terrifies her. "I'm going," Emma says. "Alone? That's suicide."
