MARKED BY THE SILENCED WOLF

MARKED BY THE SILENCED WOLF

It did not fly away into space; it broke apart into billions of tiny, glowing white particles. The particles rained down upon the world like a gentle snow. They fell over the Scrapyard, over the black forest, and over the distant mountains. Where the white light touched the ground, the last remnants of the toxic pollution vanished. The rusted iron was stripped of its decay, turning into gleaming, pristine metal. The water in the streams ran crystal clear. It was a final gift from the creators, a parting blessing to cleanse the soil of the prison they had built. A cheer erupted from the crowd. It started small, a single shout of disbelief from a Vanguard soldier, and then it swelled into a

"Well, not more, just reflected." "Right." "More racism, though." "Yeah," he sighs. We've arrived in an ally. It's wet and swampy. Pollution's at an all time high because the sky is an opaque shade of gray. Ever since the Reverse, pollution has gone down exponentially. It's clear to see that with women in charge, well... things are just better... mostly. "A hell of a lot more pollution out here." "Yeah, this shit's horrible. I can feel my lungs struggling." He turns to me and rolls his eyes, "Do you think you could release your grip a little?"

The Beta's Daughter

The Beta's Daughter

“Let’s see it.” I turned the paper over, and revealed the poem scrawled in pencil on the back. Down the streets of woodland black I wander, earth to hearse In every tree I see a wave A looming tidal curse On the cusp of something greater Stood ankle-deep in floodwater Stagnant pools of brown and red The onslaught is coming; I dread For each dark night and each pearl day The mist does clear too soon The floodplain is drown’d again The water, torn from its ocean womb

The Lost Demoness: Her Silvery Red Eyes Opens

The Lost Demoness: Her Silvery Red Eyes Opens

She described her thoughts on it in relation to nature and destruction and decided to share another piece of hers she was proud of. She turned her laptop to face Remus and he read the poem. Degradation Filthy, but, yet alive The dust rises around Growing and spreading Like parasites clinging to what little there is The dust rises around Its legs dug into the ground Like parasites clinging to what little there is Sucking the life force around them Its legs dug into the ground The roots spread out deep below Sucking the life force around them Leaving nothing behind The roots spread out deep below Running its lines and taking over Leaving nothing behind

Unholy Matrimony

Unholy Matrimony

This is barely one step up from homelessness. Streetlights are dead or shattered, leaving the narrow roads cloaked in shadow. Corroded chain-link fences and warehouses loom like hollowed-out concrete monoliths against the night sky. The air out here is thick with the scent of industrial runoff and salt from the nearby wetlands, a foul combination that leaks through the air vents and coats the back of my throat. Garbage is piled against the rusted barbed wire, plastic bags snared in the wire like dead jellyfish.

Iero always shares to him the poems he learned from his teacher, and also the poems that he wrote, asking him if the ones that he had written were good. Sybb coughed as he cleared his throat before he opened his lips to speak. "Like a river of diamonds in the sky, accompanied by the round ball of pearl in the darkness, its light kissing the leaves of the trees that grew cold and were blown away by the harsh wind, traveling to many places in the darkness, not knowing how many people it touched.” He said. “Oh!” Everyone's eyes widened in surprise when they heard Sybb’s words.

Life After Prison

Life After Prison

As the sea breeze rustled and the waves rolled, the spiritual sea in front of him abruptly turned ink-black. Its vibrant essence had ceased to exist. Surging malevolent energy filled the air, whipping up strong winds and unleashing a shower of rain. Yet, the rain was no ordinary precipitation. It was dark, foul-smelling, and tainted with pollution. In just an instant, all life within the sea was extinguished.

one of the best novels of this site. well written and great story. The only problem is Monday you get a lot of pages and chapters, and the rest of the week you get a page a day. Come on the author and this site can do better. Really about to stop reading because of this.

The Pack's Emissary

The Pack's Emissary

Cameron asked as he handed her the mug of blood and sat at her feet. “No, from everyone,” she answered. “We’ve been using their water as a dumping ground forever, but it’s gotten worse over time. Now we’re spewing pollution out of factories, and drilling oil, producing masses of plastic waste that ends up in the ocean, and much, much more. They have developed parallel to us, underwater, their own technology that doesn’t pollute, and whilst they’ve been protecting the planet, we have not, and we’ve been poisoning them to boot, so they’re pretty pissed. In Niarthen’s mind, they held off for as long as possible, hoping the people on land saw sense and fixed themselves up, but…”

I started reading this series when you were about halfway through The Pack’s Triquetra and I’ve been in love with it ever since. It’s amazingly written and as sad as I will be to see it end, I’m very curious to see the ending :) How often do you post updates?

I have read series-more than once while waiting but have to ask--- why change the covers? The others fit although they could have made Aislen a bit prettier since everyone goes on about how beautiful and Sexy she is she didn't quite fit but all of the new covers are AWFUL! please change!!!!!
