He stopped on that spot on the pavement, and took out the poetry book he had with him, and started to read it slowly to enjoy every bit of it. A grubby girl approached him to feed the pigeons which had gathered on the pavement. Lin realized how bad the pavement had become because of the amount of bird droppings. But, he knew that there were paradoxical points related to feeding pigeons. Some thought that pigeons would ruin the pavement so they should not feed birds, while others feed them to gain merits. Lin simply declined the offer genteelly with a soft smile so that the girl shrank away, leaving Lin to ponder on the poem.

Mr. CEO Wants To Marry Me

Mr. CEO Wants To Marry Me

She defied shaking her head, with a big smile plastered on her face, “Listen, Elizabeth. It’s either you do that, or you do worst. And it’s not that bad, your waste is the least of the ocean’s pollution; there have been worst cases of corpses dumped in the sea, oils let out, and all the other horrifying things you could think of. Peeing is, trust me, the least of it all. And you aren’t wasting; you’ll be adding more salts.” I put it to the table and she just went off laughing before wincing, “See? It’s gonna come out.” I said and dropped my shoes on the sand, then charged at her and whisked her from the ground, threw her torso over my shoulder, and ran for the water, tearing a loud yelp from

No Tide for Yesterday

No Tide for Yesterday

“I know many of you are thinking: ‘What does this have to do with me? I’m just a businessman. I just want to make money. Environmental protection is the government's job, NGOs’ job—not mine.’” She let out a small, mocking laugh. “But you’re wrong.” “The ocean belongs to no one. And to everyone. When it dies, no one escapes.” She snapped her fingers. The giant screen behind her lit up. A polluted sea. Muddy, almost sickly gray-green water. Dead fish floating everywhere, bellies white, eyes wide open. The camera panned down, revealing mountains of garbage—plastic bags, nets, barrels, industrial waste. Gasps filled the hall.

Twist of Fate

Twist of Fate

The heat waves, pollution and traffic won't let people breathe peacefully and therefore Nights are far better than days when you're living in cities. The wet, desolate streets of the city rested in silence as the starry black sky wept over it. the water in the portholes shimmered by the glow of the bright, yellow street lamps. the small, green trees on the roadsides swayed as the strong breeze hit them. The cool monsoon air carried a sweet moist scent like a candy shop kept inside a refrigerator.

it's a love story or sure, but the way she is explaining every emotion of the love between Rishi Anu and Anbu is what makes this book unique. while reading it I felt like I'm back to my clg days, so relatable and connecting. but again the curiosity to know the suspense is killing me. update soon.

DAWN

DAWN

I am gradually realizing that my street seems to develop this strange stench over the years and this stink increases with time. The filth reflecting in the worn out clothes of the children aimlessly roaming the streets can choke one to death. From the famous Razzi beer parlor down the street to the GreenLand brothel adjacent my mother's bar, these places birth the disgusting stench of my environment and gradually it is becoming inhabitable. As I struggle to jump across piles of dirt littered all over, I could feel different hands and shoulders all over me. Everyone is always in a hurry in a space so small. I quickly stretched my hand out to greet a fellow who stretched his hand out on a

Vampire Witch (Book 1 Vampire Witch Trilogy)

Vampire Witch (Book 1 Vampire Witch Trilogy)

The sun peeked over the horizon when we finally stopped outside a quaint little cottage nestled in an awe-inspiring grove of fruit trees. I wondered if I would ever stop marveling over the breathtaking beauty of the land. Luthias and Geo both spoke of Verso being like earth was prior to the war and the twentieth century pollution modern man created. Although I was saddened that I was born in a time of devastation, desolation, and the dominance of evil, I felt even sorrier for them. How horrible it must be to watch your world turn into a decrepit shell of what it was. I wondered why they’d ever step outside of Verso.

The Matchmaker who can see the red string of fate

The Matchmaker who can see the red string of fate

They felt insecure in every small thing like branded clothes, higher income, more internet attention… They never stop to appreciate the beauty of trees fighting against pollution to purify the air they breathe. They never bother to notice the efforts of the clouds to carry the heavy weight of water just to give them rain. They don’t understand the hardship of people who are left groveling in the dirt just to have something to put in their plates, to feed for their families… I can never understand. Why people are so fixed of catching the attention of others, they begun to neglect the riches offered to them from the moment they wake up.

The Heartless Alpha’s Beloved Luna

The Heartless Alpha’s Beloved Luna

A siren wailed somewhere in the distance, growing louder, then fading again. Goddess, it was like being caught in a blender. I pressed my hand to my chest and breathed, but even that felt like an effort. It was like the noise and pollution and the thick, hot air from too much concrete and too many tall buildings blocking the wind and far, far too many bodies moving around in one place made it impossible to draw in a complete breath.

Anyone who said they love the store after reading 500+ chapters is lying lmao. The story literally goes nowhere. Same issues between Gideon and Avery, just different people. No depth to the story whatsoever, it’s almost like it’s AI generated at this point

First book that I read and completed on this app. My coworker and I got soooo hooked. It’s all we were talking about in the office for 3 weeks until we finally finished lol. Now we don’t know what else to read. Nothing will compare. Great story!!!

The Guardian's Return

The Guardian's Return

He had barely slept. “Who is it? What’s going on?” George’s anxious voice came from outside. “There’s a problem with the food hall and Crystal Lake!” Stephen immediately jumped out of bed and hurriedly opened the door. “What happened?” George said, “Crystal Lake has been polluted, and the food hall lost every one of its customers.” “What?!” Stephen was shocked. How could Crystal Lake be polluted? He remembered all too well what happened to Aqua City. It was environmental pollution that led to Aqua City’s economic collapse. Now, why was Celestial City’s Crystal Lake polluted as well?

Sword of Eryndor

Sword of Eryndor

The air and water were poisoned by the chemicals and heavy machinery used in the illegal operation, a stark reminder of the devastating cost of their lust and greed. As Eryndor gazed upon the ravaged landscape, he was met with a sight that shook him to his core. The soil, once teeming with life, now lay dormant and lifeless, a stark testament to the devastating impact of Arinthal's activities on the ecosystem.
