The Mate Agreement

The Mate Agreement

He shifts back; putting a seat between us and truly looking horrified. Bibah simply shakes her head at our childish shenanigans and takes a sip of her iced latte, metal straw clinking in the Hydro Flask. “The Awoo Book Club’s pick for this week is H.P Lovecraft.” She pats the voluminous book atop the pile and I notice it’s the library copy of H.P Lovecraft’s Omnibus 3. “I’m so excited to roast his ass.”

Though a Mirror Darkly

Though a Mirror Darkly

“No doubt.” “What about those two small FedEx boxes?” “Most recent novels from Samhain Horror.” “Awesome. Those books I bought at the Webb County Library sale last week?” “Sorted into general and mystery fiction. Struck the mother lode with all those Mary Higgins Clark novels.” “We cater to all tastes, miss. Unless you like Twilight, 50 Shades of Gray or James Patterson. Folks want drivel, they can drive to Utica.” “Hey. I actually liked Twilight. It wasn’t all bad.”

The Ascension

The Ascension

Shaking her head, she said, "But aren't you only like that because you idiotically accepted an accursed book from a nobody? You said, you don't even believe in ghosts before you got that." He sighed and took out the book which always appeared inside his pocket for several months now. The book was giving off a mysterious vibe due to its black worn-out cover featuring a faceless monster. He got it from a fake friend who had styled himself as a book collector. Nathan was a horror writer so he accepted the creepy book. His initial objective was only to look for more ideas and inspiration. Who would have thought the horror writer who never believed in ghost would suddenly start seeing creepy ghos

Quite the unique story in this website. I have read until chapter 50, it's a nice fantasy that is also like just a slice of life, at times heavy, at times just like a breath of fresh air. Only problem is the expensive chapters. Good work though.

The Final Cut

The Final Cut

After two days of high temperatures and intense boredom, he remembered the three books. Sam pulled out the one with the Mummy on the cover, because it looked the most innocuous. It was entitled the Ninth Pan Book of Horror Stories. He wasn’t the least bit prepared for what he found inside. The first three stories involved emasculation, murder and burning at the stake. In his fevered state Sam felt he was not only watching the characters’ suffering, he was experiencing it along with them. He flung the book at the wall and then hid it again, wishing he could burn it like Jinnot, the young girl in the third story who was burned alive.

Horror Nights

Horror Nights

The horizon was a jagged smear of charcoal gray and bruised violet. For three years, I had walked toward it, guided by nothing but the rumors whispered in the hushed, terrified voices of dying scavengers. They spoke of a place that held the line, a fortress of humanity amidst the rotting sprawl of the walking dead. They called it "Haven."

His Little Hunter

His Little Hunter

What business did Allison have with a witch of that caliber? My gaze drifted away from the list, landing on the chaos of the desk. Only then did I truly see the mess. It wasn’t just papers; it was a library of obsession. Documents were scattered everywhere, burying the wood surface. I picked up a few books, reading the spines. ‘Tales of the Undead’. ‘The Physiology of the Damned’. ‘The Half-Demon’s Plight’. All titles about vampires. They weren’t particularly strange books for a Hunter to possess, I had read most of them myself during training. Know thy enemy. It was Rule Number One. When you hunted apex predators, knowledge was the only equalizer.

Blood Hunt

With a cloth stuffed in his mouth. He saw there were two men sitting on the high chairs. They were just looking at him but they were too intimidating. He remembered how much he cried for Adam to untie him, to leave him, to send him back to Stephen. Speaking of Stephen. Another wave of shock trembled passed his body. He saw Stephen was thrown on the ground. He was hurt. He was choked. And then he bit Adam. His eyes turned yellow. His fangs elongated. And he killed Adam?

Cinderella My Ass

Cinderella My Ass

He handed the books he had chosen to the young worker and stuffed his hands in the pocket of his hoodie. "'The SAS Survival Handbook?' and '2020 Standard Catalog of Firearms'?..." The worker raised her brows at the young man in front of her, the corner of her lips twitching unconsciously, as she used this opportunity to look at his handsome face. "Your taste is still as random as always." This guy would either wander around the bookstore just looking around, or buy the most random craziest books ever. She remembers the first time she saw him buying books here, the titles of those being "Demons: The Devil, Possession & Exorcism" and "Poisonous Plants". The poor girl wasn't sure if this guy wa
