"Let’s just say… I’ve been waiting to meet you."
He reached into his coat.

When I opened my eyes, The lamppost flickered into life—just long enough to cast his face into sharp relief. He wore a dark coat, eyes cold as granite, and his smile felt like a trap closing shut.
My feet moved under their own weight—backing away, heart thundering.
"I’ve been waiting to meet you." His voice dropped again, soft but deadly.
He unbuttoned his coat. I braced for something—fear, violence, or worse—and yet what he pulled out wasn’t what I expected. A small device, rectangular, screen glowing faintly in the dark.
