He was holding his arm, and blood was dripping between his fingers. “He got clipped, nothing major, just stop the bleeding,” the guard said. I didn’t wait. I got out and walked over to the injured man. He was young, he was pale and breathing fast. “Let me see it,” I said. My voice was calm and steady. He pulled his hand away. There was a clean bullet hole in his upper arm. It wasn't bad, it missed the bone and the major veins. “You’re lucky,” I told him. “Stop being dramatic.”

“A..are you all right?” Instinctively, I step back. Suddenly, I feel a sharp pain in my arm and I wince. I look at my arm and my heart sinks as I notice a tiny droplet of blood. My vision begins to blue. I blink rapidly, trying to clear the haze but it's no use. I stare at my arm as it starts to churn and ripple like water. I feel my knees buckle as I try to stand. Disoriented, I shake my head, scrubbing my eyes with trembling hands.

My arms were trembling and everything in me was praying Cara was okay. Swallowing hard, I sat with my back pressed against the machine and slowly peeked out. I gasped at the sight and a shot was fired. I jerked back, landing on my side to cover. But I was too late as I cried out in pain, holding my bloodied arm. “Thaia!” Michael reached out to me. “I’m fine, I’m fine.” I clenched my jaw in pain. I looked down at my arm, removing my shaking hand to see too much blood gushing out. It was burning in pain and the skin was open, but no bullet was stuck.

I yell. Suddenly, I feel a sharp pain on my upper arm. When I jerk my head towards the pain I see a needle sticking out of my arm. The world goes black very quickly.

That reaffirmed the pain that radiated from my arm to my brain. I looked at the arm and saw an arrow embedding itself there. I had been shot. I held the arm and bent down immediately to keep the pain at bay. The task proved impossible as warm blood began to flow down my arm's length to my fingers, then to the floor. I was so sure that the arrow had hit an artery from the way the blood kept flowing. "Find the damn culprit now!" I heard Alpha Damon say before I lost consciousness.

A bone poked out at the arm’s joint, with blood streaming down. “What?”

It pierced my forefinger, causing blood to start flowing down the finger, tracing a path down my palm. Clenching it between my palm, I raised my left arm and placed the sharp end on the sensitive skin of my wrist. My eyes watched as the glass drew a line down the whole length of my arm. Blood peeked out of the line at first, but then, it started to pour out—hot, fresh, and dark red. I dropped to my knees, and shards pierced my skin. I didn’t care. I moved back on the floor until my back hit the wall, and then…I just rested.

In an effort to show I was fine, I held my arms up in front of myself. Instead of being scratch-free, a trail of blood was rolling down my left arm. "Are you serious..." I muttered underneath my breath, quickly pulling my arm into my chest so I could inspect it. I hadn't noticed the pain before. It wasn't anything bad, just a skinned elbow from falling.

"Grandma, look at how many vegetables I dug up!" Thump, Layne fell to the ground. The little shovel happened to scrape against his wrist, as its edge was sharp and the child's skin delicate. Crimson blood gushed out. Yasmine quickly helped the person up and saw blood gushing out from the wound, indicating that an artery had been cut. She tightly grasped Layne's wrist and said, "Emilee, help me get a clean towel." Emilee was extremely panicked. She rushed to the storage room, grabbed a white towel, and ran out. She then saw Yasmine holding Layne at the door.

I lost my balance and fell on top of Antoninus. Antoninus hugged me gently, with his hose-filled arms. "Are you crazy?" I scolded him angrily. If one of these hoses misplaces a needle, it pierces a blood vessel and bulges under the skin. It hurts just to think about it. Isn't he scared at all? I tried to get off him.
