~Emilia’s Point of View~ “Well are you,” I asked again, grabbing a pillow and clutching it to my chest. His eyes darted all over the place. Was he … mafia? Oh no. Ohh … no. My eyes flicked to his tattoos. I watched enough TV to know I was in deep shit. “If she were a male, yes,” he said, matter of fact. A sudden surge of anger flooded through me, but not at my mate. Natalie had to know this would happen, you don’t just fuck over people for that kind of money and expect them to let it go. Then, a light bulb went off in my head.

Pedro asked when they entered inside what seemed like a small sitting room with beautiful gold and white sofas. “It's lovely,” Olivia muttered, smiling faintly as her eyes wandered around. Pedro gave a half smile and left her side. “Just how rich are you, I mean, I don't see you working or visiting the office?” Pedro was a mafia. Everyone knew mafia men were no ordinary men, they were wealthy as f**k. Had in possession things even people who called themselves rich didn't have. Yet, he never worked as most did. The last time he said he visited the company was when she introduced her to his employees.

The room was an elegant shade of off-white, and expensive, well-made furniture loitered it. This was the office of Chiara’s father, Lorenzo, its elegant appearance a contrast to the casual feel of the restaurant just outside it. Lorenzo’s eyes scanned through the screen of his IMac, the beads of sweat that ran down his face a sign of his ill luck. What Lorenzo’s eyes were fixed on were the financial records of his restaurant and though it had been doing well, he was twenty thousand dollars lacking in the money they were meant to make.

She was already brought here against her own will, and it doesn’t seem like anyone is going to answer the question as to why she’s here.
