The Marked Ones

The Marked Ones

She sighed, then glanced to the left, where another portrait was hanging on the wall. In this portrait, a woman stood there. Her left hand raised in the air at an angle. And her right seemed to hold a book. On her head she wore a hat, which had a point at the top. Her head was tilted to the left, where you could only see the left side of her face. And her hair was a dark brown, that looked like it flowed endlessly behind her. There were colorful colors that could be seen over her left hand, as if portraying something. Blues, greens, purples, and pinks colliding together at the top forming a colorful ball above the streaks underneath. On the tree to the right, a broom lay against it, with a c

Red: Claimed by the Keeper in the Tower

Red: Claimed by the Keeper in the Tower

I looked at it for a long time. Then the library. Bent over an open book, both hands pressing flat on the page, her weight leaning into the text. The focused intensity of someone who cared about the words, not how she looked reading them. Her hair was tied back in this one, a loose knot, two strands falling forward across her cheek. She hadn't pushed them back. I turned to the third photograph.

A Contract The Empire Couldn't Break

A Contract The Empire Couldn't Break

Reserved. They moved on. Portrait after portrait followed. Generations of women. Some painted in rich color, others in stark monochrome. All composed. All restrained. None smiling. Lillian felt a tightening behind her ribs she could not name. “They all look…” She hesitated. “Contained,” Beatrice supplied. “That was the virtue of their time.” They stopped before a larger frame. Lillian’s breath caught. The woman in the portrait was younger than the others. Her hair was dark and worn loose at the shoulders rather than pinned back. Her eyes were soft, almost sad, but alert. As if she were watching something just beyond the painter.

The Final Portrait

The Final Portrait

"What a pretty portrait! Shouldn't have expected any less from Misty, honestly. This is probably a birthday gift from her, so take it." My soul was watching nearby, and I was so nervous that my fists curled into balls. 'Take it! Didn't you want to find the person who murdered your father? That portrait's the clue!' In my anxiety, I didn't expect my boyfriend to suddenly flare up in anger, grabbing the portrait and tearing it to shreds. "She wants me to forgive her with trash like this? What a joke! I felt nothing but disgusted!" I instinctively tried to catch the torn portrait, but my translucent fingers passed through the rubbish bin. After a while, I realized.

Fated To The Werewolf Dragon King

Fated To The Werewolf Dragon King

One by one, she dusted the shelves, carefully returning each book to its proper place. Some of the titles were written in languages she couldn't recognize. Others spoke of dragon and werewolf clans, ancient kingdoms, forgotten wars, and magical relics. Hours passed quietly. As she wiped another shelf, her attention was caught by a framed portrait tucked between two stacks of books. Curiosity drew her closer. It was a painting of a woman. She possessed long brown hair that flowed over one shoulder and striking green eyes that seemed almost alive despite the faded paint. She wore elegant robes embroidered with the royal crest.

BULLIED BY THE ALPHA PRINCE

BULLIED BY THE ALPHA PRINCE

Then, quietly grumbling to himself, he gets to his feet with haste and urgency. I watch him delve into a corner of the room, rifling through a small shelf of books hidden until then, until he finds a particular book, his eyes lighting up. He rushes back to us, placing the dusty old book on the table. The cover, crafted from animal skin, resembles one I own. He flips through the pages, stopping at one and revealing a drawing of a young woman with a wide, vibrant smile that radiates pride and joy untouched by the world. The artist has done their best with limited resources, clearly depicting her beautiful emerald green eyes, soft pink lips, and majestic chestnut brown hair.

This book is chefs kiss. This is one of the few books we’re the main female character isn’t a push over. She doesn’t always make the best decisions put she makes the tough one. The whole story line flows well and each character has a unique story behind them. I cannot wait when the book is completed

These Maddening Desires

These Maddening Desires

Lady Ashley brought her to her room. In the beginning when Rose had entered the woman's room, she felt as ease, but now all she could feel is threaten surrounding her. The lady smiled as she offered her to sit in front of her. Beside the table was a freshly painted portrait placed next to the table. The painting only had the base color placed in them, letting Rose to only view the silhouette of what the woman had painted. She wondered if it was a large castle but upon a closer look, Rose saw a silhouette of a large bear-like creature and humans around it that was trying to subdue the creature.

CEO's Paid Bride

CEO's Paid Bride

I climbed down the stairs fully and walked straight to the mirror, pushing the door open. Walking in completely I was amazed by the decorations and the beauty, the room had this very calm and darkish nature, had books and bookshelves beautiful big chairs by the wall, the room was way larger than I and Diego's room, I noticed the beautiful portrait of a woman and a lady hung on the wall. Smaller pictures of a lady filled the room. I walked in further and took a book from the first shelf. It looked like a romance book. Glancing through the book Diego's baritone voice came in

A Fairy Well-kept Secret

A Fairy Well-kept Secret

The pretty lady had a petite build with wide hips, her hands holding onto a list and several books. Dorothy stiffened. The new woman’s eyes were focused on Theodore, a shy, tender smile curving her lips. Daffodil flinched when a loud noise at her right caught her attention. She whirled around to stare wide-eyed. A gorgeous lady stood glaring at her, arms crossed over her chest. Glancing down, Daffodil saw the lady had laid a heavy stack of books on the table. “New librarian?” Her voice was cold and annoyed.

Sir Ares, Goodnight!

Sir Ares, Goodnight!

Finally, his gaze was fixed on a very beautiful portrait of a couple. His eyes were stunned. The portrait of the man had been maliciously destroyed so that the colors of the top and bottom pictures were mixed and could not be clearly displayed. However, that portrait of the woman fell in Jay's eyes very clearly. Even though only her profile was shown, it could still be seen that she was a beautiful woman. The woman had long, natural brown hair. Her lips were thin and slightly raised. This portrait of the woman completely stunned Jay on the spot. These thin and slightly curled lips gave out an impression of arrogance for no reason. It was exactly a photocopied version of his own.

When i first started reading this book, it was hard to get into at first but then I couldnt put it down! I fell in love with it. Yes the english is somewhat hard to understand at some points but the plot and the characters are to die for. Although I do hope that Jay finds out that Zetty is his child
