Witches don’t have to be near a person to activate a spell, but they do need to use a charm or potion or something to convey the magic. I searched my body, my clothing, my backpack, everything I could think of, for a talisman, an empty potion vial, any kind of evidence that we had been bewitched, but found nothing. Preston informed me that they were busy searching the mansion, but I doubt they’ll find anything. I run the attendees at the wedding through my mind.
