Ruby Fridays
I stumbled forward, gasping for breath, blood trickling down my face from a dozen tiny wounds, "Two down, Ruby. One last to go,"
The pit of blades awaited, the cruelest challenge of all.
Releasing the breath I didn't know I was holding, I saw the last obstacle lies before me — a large pit filled with spinning blades that must be crossed. The blades glinted in the dim light, reflecting the faces of the desperate souls who had attempted to make the crossing before me. Blood stained the blades and pooled on the floor of the pit, remnants of those who had failed.
