Novel & Cerita Predator Vision

There are a lot of them too. His gaze singled out a red body, darting between the trunks. Muscles clenched into tension threw him elastically after the fleeing doe. Vik fell on the defenseless animal with one jump, crushed under him, fangs sank into the quivering flesh and tore the skin with a sharp movement. He bared his teeth, growled furiously, the hot blood of the victim poured into his mouth, as if reviving the life that had already disappeared. He drank this blood for a long time, the doe was still alive when he quenched his thirst. He heard the beating of her heart fade away, felt the body tremble for the last time in agony and it seemed to him that he was dying with her once again. I

Stealthy and nearly invisible, they lived a solitary life in a shadowy world of dusk and dawn. With their incredible night vision, retractable lethal claws, piercing canines and well-muscled bodies built for ambush and stealth, they commanded the rainforest, yet they were leery of fighting one another. Olivera’s first thought was to kill in self-preservation. She was weak from hunger and already dripping precious blood. The wisest and safest course of action would be to end the battle quickly. Respect for the rain forest’s strongest predator made her hold back. She had always lived in harmony with the creatures of the forest. She would not take this animal’s life if there was another choice.

“How can you say so? Have you already seen one?” “You still have a lot to learn, Migi.” He smiled a little widely, ruffling her hair. “They’re everywhere. I’d say you might even have encountered them already; only, you cannot perceive them as one. Camouflage as what you might say. They’re good at that. After all, they are a supernatural existence gifted with different abilities, which you might have—like everyone else around you.”

This is seriously the best breadstick I’ve had in my life and I don’t think it’s because I haven’t eaten in over 24 hours. “Nothing wrong with mixing work and pleasure, dear. I want to be the one to make you moan like that.” He says with a slight gravel to his voice as he looks at me like prey. I clench my thighs and his nostrils flair. His eyes flash silver and I completely forget about the breadsticks again. A vampires eyes change to silver when their emotions are high and I know exactly which emotion is running through him right now. I reach for my water and he watches my throat pull as I drink. His hands curl into fists and I smile in satisfaction knowing he’s just as wound up as I am ri

The morning air felt heavy against her lungs, frost hung from each leaf and stem of grass as the first signs of winter began to show. She was once again at her lookout spot, high in the hills with the perfect view of each part of the territory. She could see everything. One of the advantages of being a daughter of an Alpha brought particular gifts to her genome. She could read thermal signatures with her eyes by summoning her beast forward. Through rust coloured eyes she could see her pack mates in and around the pack clearing, the wolves on patrol, she could even see lesser animals, prey, as they wandered through the woods.

A faint smile that never made it to his eyes was on his lips. "Luna, lies wear you out. However, I guess fear has its purposes. It prolongs the life of the prey and sharpens the senses. Luna sat up. Unexpectedly, she said, "And the predator?" "Is it enough to keep him entertained?" She gave her a savage look in response. Silence ruled the room for a heartbeat as his hand froze on the armrest. Then he chuckled slowly. Low, perilous, and leisurely. He repeated, "Entertained." Yes. At least you amuse me. He indicated the chair on the other side of him. "Sit." Her hesitation was evident. "No one told me to," "We told you now." His voice was quiet, but it had a force that held her in place. His f

intentionally digging into her skin. Linda's eyes shone bright, her pupils shrinking as she grabbed me by the neck violently growling at me, her teeth bearing fangs and her nails becoming pointy claws, slowly sinking into my flesh. "Don't deny it, I saw you two," she says with narrowed sharp brows. "Werewolves have sharp visions, and I've been blessed with heat vision since birth, I saw you embrace him, how you two were holding hands and caressing each other, while your pathetic creatures you call pups were pulling me back."

It’s a great chance for Matthan to let his fur free, but also seeing the world through his eyes is an experience I can’t describe with worthy accuracy. As a mutolupus, I already have advanced senses, so my perception of the world around me is vastly different to that of a human, but from inside Matthan, it’s something else entirely. Through his eyes, colour is more vibrant and intense. I can see with greater clarity and pick up on things that I normally couldn’t. Like right now I can see a spider in the distance as it works to spin its web. I can see every little thread and how meticulously it works to create its home in the trees and set its trap for future meals. I may not love spiders, bu

Mine. Table four was two truckers. Harmless. I refilled their mugs, dropped the check, and turned— The bell chimed again. The air changed. It was like someone opened a freezer door in the middle of the Mojave. The hairs on my arms stood up. The diner went quiet. Forks paused mid-air. Predator. My wolfless body didn’t have enhanced senses, but it remembered them. It remembered _him_. Don’t look. Don’t look. Don’t—

I have been a specimen under a microscope for as long as I can remember, a quiet, heavily medicated girl expected to follow the rules, swallow her pills, and fade seamlessly into the background. I recognize that look I just saw in Fenris’s striking blue eyes. It is the exact same look I’ve studied in countless biology textbooks under the heading of predatory drive. But there was something else there, too, a raw, terrifying vulnerability that completely defies logic. I don't understand how I am doing it, or why a man who looks like he could casually bench-press a mid-sized sedan is physically trembling at the sight of me, but the sheer, undeniable power of it feels like a live, humming wire i
