"He’s got the connections we need. If anyone can track them down, it’s him."
I felt a twinge of hesitation. “You think he can track them down?”
“I know he can,” he said confidently. “He’s the one person who can get us the info we need. Where they are, when they’ll be back. We’ll be ready.”
I nodded to myself, though he couldn’t see it. It was hard to argue with that. Piero was unreliable, yes, but he was also good at what he did, tracking people down, digging into places most wouldn’t dare. He was the only way forward, even if it meant dealing with him. “Alright,” I said, my voice more resigned than I liked. “I’ll talk to him. I’ll get things moving.”
