Pride Calendar 2021 Novels & Stories

June is always a busy month for my band, Immortal Eclipse. Being a gay man, I tend to book out June to attend as many pride events as we can. It doesn’t matter that the rest of my band are heteros. To each their own. The point is they are still allies and other than my great-great-grand nephew, we’re all vampires, and fresh blood is fresh blood. They don’t care about gender or sexuality regarding the feed.

Serena had been planning this night for weeks. It was a celebration of the pack's newfound strength and unity, and she wanted it to be perfect. She had asked Nathan to help her, and together they had spent hours decorating the pack house and preparing food and drink for everyone. As the sun began to set, the pack members began to arrive. They were dressed in their finest clothes, and the air was filled with excitement and anticipation. Serena greeted each of them with a warm smile, grateful for their support and dedication to the pack.

"Should I be worried?." Ebuka's Pov Today is a special day for me, my friends, and all those celebrating pride weeks worldwide. We can't celebrate in the open like our counterparts in other parts of the world so we are celebrating in secret. Everything is set and ready and the event starts at 4:00 p.m. Some of our straight close friends are also invited, those that don't judge us for who we are. Everyone in our gathering today especially those paid to work was hand-picked by my friend and me, there is no room for mistakes because some homophobic's are on the loose.

She swallowed nervously, “why are you shirtless?” “Everyone is.” He spoke so plain, like he was immune to whatever she felt. “It’s part of the celebration. The full moon is close, so we become more wolf than man. The only time we can shred our balance. We rejoice for our gift and curse, that’s what the festival is mostly about. And absolute wildness.” An euphoric grin travelled through his face. Those were the most words he’d said to her since they left the city. Unable to take the charm of the very handsome man before her, she chuckled a way out of his arms. Trying to remember his words, she faked a smile back, “that sounds freeing.”

He reluctantly collected it and instead of reading it, looked at her hoping she'd sense his reluctance and explain whatever it meant to him herself. "It's a flyer," she stated the obvious. "Ah, come on, check it out. It's about the upcoming pride parade. It's pride month, you know?" He did remember reading something about members of the LGBTQ community having a month to themselves but had completely forgotten it was June and had began few days ago.
