Bound To The Crown Prince
A silence in which nobody could whisper a legend into life.
“My way,” I whispered to myself “No bodies. No trials. No accusation that can turn the High Elder’s temper into a feud. Tonight I will make him nothing more than a memory. The crown will never be stained for it.”
“And the prince?” Raven, my wolf asked me
“The prince is a problem,” I admitted. I did not like admitting the truth even to Raven, truth was a door that when opened let drafts in, but the prince had shown his teeth in the courtyard, he had defended the slave with something close to possessiveness. If I could remove the possibility of that possessiveness becoming political, then I could still tilt the court my way.
