And I feel like a princess in the long black gown.
“And to complete the look,” she says, holding a small blue velvet box in her hand.
I shake my head. “No. No way, Sab. When did you even—”
“Relax,” she says, opening the box. “It’s just a loan.”
Studded diamonds. Not too big and gaudy—not too small for my ears. They’re perfect. And while I’m speechless, she helps me put them on, so I can see how right she is. They do complete the look.
