“I’m sorry I didn’t pay attention Baba, I truly am. Please can you teach me about Morpheus?” I hoped my apology and pleading would work as it usually did without fail. My father clearly couldn’t pass up an opportunity to lecture me on his favourite topics so he set down his red pen and grabbed a thick, leather bound book from the bookshelf, placing it down on his desk with a resounding thud. The spine of the book crackled as he flipped through the pages, his fingers finally coming to rest on a page entitled “The Oneroi”.

Blue After I found Artemis outside on the phone I was expecting him to tell me that he would have to leave and deal with something for work. It wouldn’t have surprised me at all, and I wouldn’t want to keep him away if they really needed him. I’ve learned a lot more about coding thanks to him and it makes sense why it can be time consuming and drive you a little crazy when things don’t go your way.

he chuffed as he walked to the door of the cabin and knocked loudly. “Come in” Artemis called out. Smith pushed the door open and motioned for me to go in. I hesitated for a second but walked through the door with Smith closing it behind me. It was dark inside and smelled of moss and wet leaves. The walls were covered with flowers and what looked like herbs. There were a lot of small plants scattered around the floor. Artemis stood before me and bowed holding his hand out in front of him. “My Goddess” he whispered. Smith looked at me with his eyes wide and mouth pulled down.

he spoke cautiously, studying me. “Is there anything you would like to tell me about him, your relationship, perhaps?” a book caught my attention, ‘Alpha Artemis of the waterfall pack,’ it was written on it. I had the feeling of deja vu, I had seen something similar, different names. ‘The Snowmoon pack,’ I remembered the name Rachael had mentioned. That was the name of my pack, that name rang a bell, and soon after all the dots were connecting. My first night here or the second, I couldn't guess but I had stumbled across a book in the library that belonged to Artemis, where I first saw the name, ‘The Snowmoon pack, Alpha Demitri of The Snow Moon pack,’ that, exactly how it was written.

Amira started to address her. Artemis chuckled softly, "Do not fret over introductions right now. Artemis is just fine." The grassy field gradually gave way to a tree line of a dense forest where the sun's light shined in through gaps in the canopy. Amira felt a little more at ease being within the forest, perhaps it felt closer to being home. "Alright, Artemis..." Amira treaded carefully over the name still, "I opened the book in hopes to finding an answer to a problem I'm... Well, we are having in the mortal world."

Artemis POV 6 months ago – Flashback – It was the weekend of the grand opening of our latest design project in Bal Harbor, Miami and I had flown in on Wednesday to make sure everything was going according to the plan and to give the décor my final touches. Ale and I have been working on this project for the past year and a half and we are extremely proud of the outcome.

My life was certainly much more boring without her. “Let’s get inside.” I held her get through to the window that led into the castle basement. It was a small drop. No guards secured this area because it led my secret room with Solaris. She didn’t want anyone ever hearing our conversations. It was pitch black down there that was until a fire lit behind me. I ducked unaware of where it came from. Artemis held an orb of red fire in her palm. “Don’t throw it at me.” I warned.

There was one more couch for Dev, Xander, and Arya when they got here. “So, what did you want to talk to us about?” Liam asks. “We have...places to be.” His eyes darken as he looks at his mates. “Us, too,” Diego calls from the floor, nuzzling into Lily’s neck. “We wanted to let you know about the information we found in the book from the Artemis Pack. It’s really important to know what’s been happening with our powers.” Meredith starts to get up, but Hakeem motions for her to sit. He walks into a back room and comes out with an old book with a warped cover.

Arya let out a sigh in our mind and pushed me back to the dark recesses of our shared mind to block me from focusing on the memories. **Arya P.O.V.** I slid to the forefront of Artemis’s mind. I knew where her train of thoughts was headed and I was doing what I could to protect her from depression. I could compartmentalize through memories without many emotions mostly because I am not focused on them. “Artemis?” I heard Armand ask softly. I smiled and turned my head to face him knowing my eyes were glowing. “No, Love, Artemis is blocked off right now”

"Show me how we're taking care of our people until these storms pass." As he began to explain, with Oscar interjecting colorful commentary and Callum adding practical details, I felt Artemis settle contentedly in my mind. *See?* she murmured. *Not perfect, but good. We can wait for Hermes and Theo. We're strong enough for that.* She was right. We were strong enough. And in the meantime, there was chocolate, and family, and the promise of Christmas yet to come.
