Faith’s God-Eye ability, which allowed her to see through the city’s digital network, picked up a strange signal. Deep in a hidden bunker on the outskirts of the North, a group of scientists was working under a logo Faith didn't recognize: ‘The Prometheus Project.’ “The broadcast is ready,” a voice said over the intercepted audio. “If we can't steal the Nightshade DNA, we will make the world hate her for having it.”

I was drifting off to a peaceful slumber and couldn’t be sure if what I heard was correct. "I promise you won't ever cry again, my Eve. I've finally found you and I'll never let you go. Whatever the reason behind your tears are, I'll make sure to find out and this will be the last time they fall from your beautiful eyes. I'll keep my promise I made to you all those years ago. Thane sat back, breath caught halfway in his chest. The fire crackled in the hearth behind him, but he felt a sudden chill.

"Tell me what's wrong, Rhema" I murmured some gibberish to myself. "This is the problem. You won't talk to me and then you click the self destruct". She's trying to catch up with me on the curb. "Abroko wrote again and it's all about you. They are calling you an addict, you're addicted to the Origin. They are calling the reason she was murdered Origin". "They can call me whatever they want".

But I will update the moment I got my schedule back. Anyway, I will update a chapter today, it'll be the chapter after the 5th chapter 'Jealous' . I hope don't get confused. Also a heads up about the side characters and the special chapters about Pim and Jin. I have a different novel for them. For now, I'll focus on Craig and Yuki's story so I will have to stop spoiling their story but don't worry, I will touch them from time to time. Also about Pim's brother, Dimitri- we'll see about him. He may be the one for the love triangle or maybe not😉.

Protected by an AI called Prometheus.” Alma’s blood ran cold. “That was her personal system,” she whispered. “The one I thought she dismantled.” The Flame nodded. “She didn’t dismantle it. She fed it. With minds like yours.” Alma clenched her fists. “She used me. Used all of us.” Julian placed a hand on her shoulder. “Then we shut her down.” The Flame raised an eyebrow. “Prometheus is not a firewall. It’s an adaptive superintelligence. It sees, learns, and defends like a predator. If we’re going after it, we’ll need help.”
