"I can't promise I won't get worried over you but I can promise I wouldn't act as I did again." I smiled, bringing up my pinky. He cocked an eyebrow at it. "When you make a promise you need to seal it with your pinky. It's something Freya and I always do. If you don't do it means your promise is not valid." I shook my little finger, urging him on. With a light chuckle, he wrapped his much larger finger around mines, sealing the promise. Our eyes locked and I gasped in surprise as he pulls me closer by my pinky to plant soft, lingering kisses on each of my knuckles.

She looks to her father and back to me, I sigh, holding my pinky finger out for her. “I promise I'm not going to hurt you, pinky promise.” I say, I don't know why I think saying pinky promises will work on her but I try it either way. When I was a kid, the pinky promise was one of the most important promises, it was like swearing in blood which Talitha and I did most times but the pinky promise is just as effective.

Her questions had affirmed his need to carry out the mission he had planned. He pressed her deeper into his body and spoke. " This time, there wont be anything illegal. I promise. What I need from you is a promise that you will wait for me and that whatever happens, you will trust me. Do not let anything make you lose your faith in me. I promise to not disappoint you. Can you do that for me?"

I chuckled, “Okay fine I promise.” We connected our pink fingers together for a few seconds and pulled away. But we all knew promises were meant to be broken.

She smiled. “What’s your promise?” Eileen asked. She gulped and smiled at her. “We both have forbidden promises. Do you know anything about them?” Tony asked. Eileen shook her head, she can’t tell them what she knows about Luke. “There were two types of forbidden promises: the killing promise and the strengthening promise. Forbidden promises are different from ordinary promises. Forbidden promises are a rare type of magic, you can only have a forbidden promise if it’s running to your blood. One of the forbidden promises, which is the strengthening promise, is running in our blood.” She explained.

"But I don't mind." He turned to me, his eyes carrying a hint of playfulness that made my heart race. "I'll only wear this brand from now on. That way, you'll look at me more, won't you?" This careful attempt to please me softened my heart. I couldn't help but smile. It was the first genuine smile in five years, without any pretense or guard. "As long as you have that face, I'll never let you leave," I promised, my voice carrying unprecedented tenderness.

“I promised you I would do one thing for you. Say, what request do you want to make?” Anna nodded. Of course, she guessed right. Brandon wanted to talk to you about this. “Hmm..” Anna purposely made Brandon nervous. She pretended to think. “Maybe… er…” Anna looked at Brandon, “I figured it out, I want to ask you, for one thing, you must do it!” Anna smiled softly, but in Brandon’s eyes, it was nothing more than a devil’s smile. “Speak quickly. What do you want me to do for you?” Brandon began to lose patience. Compared to his goofy appearance last night, Anna thought Brandon had multiple personality disorders.

He was getting under my skin and I didn’t want to have him know it. “We don’t know if I am pregnant yet and there is no way in hell that you are going to tell me what to do” I retorted. “I said that you are not going back to your old pack simply because it is not safe there. If you really feel like you don’t want to be here, then go somewhere else, just not there. I won’t be able to live if I find out that something might have happened to you and I am unable to protect you. After all, all those years ago when you were born and I was only seven years old, I made a promise that I will protect you with my life and I do not intend on breaking that promise any time soon” Rowan said.
