Psalm 51 10 Novels & Stories

He had forgiven her, and she burst into tears when Matthew finally embraced her too. “Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven; whose sins are covered.” Matthew declared, smiling. “Psalm thirty-two, verse one. God bless us all. Amen.”

I and Arthur took our seats and proceeded to listen to the Rev Father's sermon. He was preaching about happiness, and for some reason, it seemed like he was preaching to me in particular. "According to 1 Peter 5:7, 'Give all your worries and cares to the Lord, for he cares about you. Just as the Lord has said in Psalm 147:3- He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, implying that he can heal all things." The Rev Father paused for a while to look at the congressional. "In Jeremiah 30, verse 17, he says he will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord."

I couldn't even do anything other than watch my baby girl in pain! Nothing at all. " Nothing? That's not totally true, Joseph. You and I both know you can do something that will give you and your baby girl an utmost satisfaction. " The moment I heard that, I realized that I was getting misleading thoughts but just before I could counter it. Another voice spoke in my thoughts. " Joseph I am sure you recall what was written in Proverbs 3vs5? " " Oh yeah... I remember the verse said, " Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him and he shall direct your steps. "

His eyes looked hungry when he saw me. "Come here Michael," he said quietly. "Tonight we finish your penance properly." I walked up the steps until I stood right in front of him. The altar felt cold under my hands when I touched it. Father Elias opened the Bible and turned to a page he had marked. He read the verse in his deep calm voice. "Romans 6 verse 13. Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness."

Every spoken verse from her lips was another strand snapping, and every twist of her body or shivering plea sawed through what remained of his restraint. He wasn't sure how much longer he could hold the beast inside him back. "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm fifty-one, verse ten." Emmeline quoted blindly, completely unaware of the brutal battle raging just beneath the surface of the man who held her. Lost in her panic and shame, the Reverend Mother couldn't understand why this stranger affected her so profoundly or why her body responded to him with such shameful, undeniable eagerness.

I opened my mouth to explain, to say something—anything—but she didn’t give me the chance. She didn’t wait for me to speak. “How many times?” she asked, voice small but sharp, cutting straight through the quiet. “I don’t understand,” I said, though I knew exactly what she meant. “You don’t?” she scoffed, the sound bitter. “How many times have you fucked her?!” I swallowed hard, the truth tasting like ash. “Three times.” God help me. What was I supposed to read after this? Psalm 51—“Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions”—because I’d sinned against her?

“There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.” Please note, dear reader that the Bible verses are from Psalm 91. KJV was used here but other versions can also be used. To be continued... ++++++++ We are at the last leg of the story dear reader... Hopefully, you will be back here at the Supernatural Spa so you can read the last part of the tale. This is your Storyteller, The Diwata saying... Fare the

I knew I had to be careful with whatever I thought of, whenever I found myself in her presence. “We are almost there, just a little more patience my dear Tonye…just a little patience.” She said as she squatted very near the wash hand basin and beckoned me to do the same. Right there under the wash hand basin, was another ‘blasphemous’ inscription: ‘Money answereth all things’ – Ecclesiastes 10:19. At that moment, the whole room, the presence of the goddess and everything in it seemed to weigh me down with a kind of force I couldn’t explain. It was too overwhelming to bear.

When the first sales lady saw me, she immediately pulled me over and fixed my eyebrows and applied make-up. ***** Psalm 46: 5 "God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns."

"I've thought of that already. It's no big deal. I'll be fine anyway. We'll be fine, okay. Stay calm." I was quiet for a while. I had a bad feeling, my instincts weren't pessimistic about our stay there. I tried to distract myself but the silence wasn't helping. Then I remembered a verse I loved, from the bible that I even made into a song. Unconscious, I began to recite out loud. ✝ Psalms 91:5 "I shalt not be afraid of the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness;
