One Night At A Hotel Ruined My Life Novels & Stories

I smashed my bottle against the edge of the bar, the glass shattering everywhere, echoing the sound of my life falling apart. "Clean it up," I barked at the terrified staff. I walked out, the taste of scotch and failure bitter in my mouth. The gala was over. But the hunt was just beginning. And if she thinks acting this way would get her out of the net I was drawing for her, oh…. she's thinking fucking wrong. I'd make her pay if it's the last thing I do.

It started at the rooftop. The party I almost did not go to. The stranger across the room who looked at me before I looked at him. The two hours of conversation that felt like five minutes. Lena's face does something when I got to the part where I took his hand but she does not say anything. She just shifts slightly in her chair. I told her about the morning after. The photo on the shelf I did not look at properly,the cab home,the way I told myself it was finished.

Nyla Burdette, my wife, nearly made me laugh out loud with her excuse. When my uncle, Eric Fuller, took over as the CEO of the hotel, he called me right away and told me that, for my birthday gift, he'd specially reserved a lifetime VIP card that waived all room charges. We headed back to my room, well his room and I pulled out my phone looking for a new hotel to stay for the night but to my unfortunate luck all the hotels were fully booked. I sat at the dining table, opening another bottle of wine. I was in New York all on my own with no place to stay, my chest tightened and I could feel another wave of tears building up. The stranger walked towards me and stood like a huge tower looking down at me,“You said you booked a couples package where the other person ?” That’s it , that’s all it took to make me break down in tears, I began to sob uncontrollably.

Wish me good luck! Love you!" Again! My girlfriend abandoned me again for her ballet career. This was not the first time such would occur. I felt like the whole world was weighing down on me. "Everybody out!" I shouted at the crowd. Murmurs and whispers continued with nobody wanting to leave and miss the whole scene before them. "Fucking get out of my room!" I yelled, filled with burning rage now. "But sir, the surprise..." One of the staff started, but I was quick to cut her off.

Jim's expression changes from the playful one to a frown. "You don't look good. What is it?" He is worried now. He notices Everette ignores his compliment about her. "I got drunk during the party and retired to the hotel room when I realized I can't really make out my surroundings. I was feeling hot, Jim. It seems I was drugged." "Drugged? How possible!" Jim says with a scoff with his attention on her. "I was. I'm sure it isn't normal. I got drunk and started feeling hot. I didn't even drink that much."

I dissolve some of it and injected it through my veins like a fucking junky. This shit, is what ruined my life, is what ruined me. It destroyed my perception of everything and made me a social danger. I should have never taken it that night! That damn night! My parents were gone for a business trip, again, and it was that time of the year, summer parties flooded the town and I was just a shy girl, crushing on this one stupid baddie. I went to the party, leaving my brother home and obviously we ended up playing truth or dare. A guy in love has the most stupid rushes of adrenaline. But obviously, having 5 minutes with her in an isolated place was enough for me to destroy my entire being.

It's too damn… embarrassing! I'm sure they must have thought my actions quite bizarre but of course they wouldn't understand how much I needed to prevent anyone from seeing the box contents. If only they knew what it contained– the fragments and mementos of a night that changed my life forever. The night I can never forget. The one night stand with Her. I closed my eyes, and suddenly I found myself transported back in time to that fateful, unforgettable morning in that room in one of my hotels in New York, when I had woken up to a world that had been completely turned upside down.
