The elder moved forward, wielding a silver knife and a small bowl. “Blood to bind us all,” he explained. I winced as the knife met my skin, a small nick. Dante did the same. Grinning widely, we clasped our hands above it over a bowl, our blood dripping into the liquid inside. The Priest began chanting something under his breath. The bowl erupted in flames. “You are now bound. Alpha and Luna.”

We walked outside to see a sea of people standing. "Where did they come from?" I asked Hayden. "All around the world, through portals mainly" Hayden replied, silence fell on the crowd. After a minute's silence they started chanting The Magna Poem of the Endowed. I just remembered it.” Mirel smiled. “Then let’s make sure it doesn’t get forgotten again.” She placed a book on the table. Leather-bound, simple. The Pact. Not the laws. Not the treaties.
