I feel grandpa’s hand on my shoulder, and he gives me a reassuring look.
We spread out quickly, and I start showing people pictures of Sloane, but no one has seen her.
“Have you seen this woman? She’s my wife.”
“No, sir.”
That’s the short response I’ve been getting. I spent an hour searching through the airport, and my private investigator had to mobilize every resource he could, searching the security camera.
“Sir, we’ve found your wife.” My private investigator’s voice sounds from afar, and I run towards him, panting heavily. She’s at the departure gate, but we don’t have any tickets. How are we supposed to pass?
