But then he steps down, and a massive cavern comes into view, stalactites spiraling from the ceiling of the biggest underground cave I’ve ever seen in my life. I let out a strangled cry of surprise. A lake stretches as far as I can see, disappearing into the dark recesses of the cave. The full moon reflection sat on the the water like a floating ball. Moonlight poured through cracks in the ceiling, illuminating strange symbols carved into the walls. The symbols made me instantly recognise that this isn't actually the cave of hell. But the Moon Shrine! One of the oldest sacred sites connected to the Moon Goddess. But why did she bring me here? A slow clap echoed through the cavern, I quickly looked up. Vanessa stepped from the shadows. Blood stained one side of her face from our earlier fight, but her cruel smile remained intact.
