My quirky love

My quirky love

I did not even finished processing what was happening when I saw the two clutching their heads groaning. "She said she wants to see our dimples!" Gabriel reasoned out while rubbing his head. "Ouch. I think my brain got damaged. Damn it big brother hit gently next time!" Jamison whined. "Dimples on your cheeks!" Grey shouts. "That's what we are doing!" Jamison shouts back. "Face cheeks not ass cheeks dumbass!" Greyson exclaimed. Jamison and Gabriel stops rubbing their head and both answered "oh." "That dimples. Sorry." Gabriel said.

Tolerating the player

Tolerating the player

A text would be better at this point so I opened my iMessage and imputed her number. "Hey Maya, meet me at Charlis':,-)" I sent the message hoping she would read it and maybe consider it. "Who the hell are you?" She texted back almost immediately. I couldn't tell her my identity yet so I decided to play anonymous guy. "How about you know in Charlis' " I sent another text, I invited her to Charlis' since it was a really busy restaurant that she should feel safe in. "Look here, I'm busy and I don't have time for pranks" she texted back, I felt like this wasn't going smoothly and I decided to give it one more shot.

Dump the Cheater, Go for the Hotter

Dump the Cheater, Go for the Hotter

I also picked up wig for me, and a pair of sunglasses for both of us. I’m wearing a little pink dress with spaghetti straps that hangs just above my knees while the blonde wig sits below my shoulders. I have a pink cap on. I kind of look like a Spice Girl, to be honest. Stace is harder to disguise. How do you hide a giant made of pure, hard-ass muscle? His tattoos are easily distinguishable so I have him wearing a long-sleeved, cotton, white shirt, and a cap to cover his hair. He picks up my sunglasses from the table and puts them on then looks around. “These are better than mine,” he mutters.

Warning: My Mommy is A Savage!

Warning: My Mommy is A Savage!

Players could not change characters once the game started. Helpless Uncle Larry facepalmed before he sat behind Charmine, uneasily. The observers looked at their screens without blinking; they could not afford to miss out even a single second! Uji Quin: [Look, I’ll give you a chance to change your mind before the duel. Call me boss and change your username to Uji’s Dog, and I’ll let you go.] Charmine: [Ha! Why don’t you do that?] Uji Quin: [An arrogant brat, I see. I’ll teach you what despair is by the end of the match!]

Honestly, I am getting tired of the book and Anthony characters. I understand that is a jealous guy but charmine has quit so many things for him and she still loosing her self. One of the reasons I read this book is cuz of the strong female characters. I would be disappointed if charmine looses hers

Remove Alpha Mark, Get New Life

Remove Alpha Mark, Get New Life

Ignoring the filth, he reached into the pile of ash, still warm with residual magic, and dug frantically. His claws were stained black with charcoal, his nail beds filled with soot. Finally, he dug out a corner of a fragment that hadn't completely burned. It was the corner of a yellowed parchment. It showed only half of his young profile—back when he had just presented as an Alpha. His eyes were clear, looking at someone outside the frame. There was also half a page of a charred vow. The handwriting was blurred by fire, but the last sentence was faintly legible:

Escaping with the Alpha

Escaping with the Alpha

Alpha challenges usually start in human form, but Ellis merely laughed at her before shifting into his grey wolf. He was cocky. Too cocky. I had the privilege of watching the stunned look in his wolf’s eyes as Allie shifted and Stella took her place. She was the same size as Ellis’ wolf–smaller than the average Alpha wolf–but her colouring, her unique eyes, and the determination in her body language made her intimidating as fuck.

A fun-light hearted story with the glitz of magic and spook of relationships. This story felt pocket sized, with no ego and great grammar and sentence structure. My only request is a touch of diversity, to make it more relatable to more people. A lovely weekend escape, fun from beginning to end!

Dumped but not Broken

Dumped but not Broken

"I respect that." Elena didn't know what to say. She expected judgment, maybe even cruelty. Not... respect? "However," Adrian continued, his tone cooling, "I need to know that your past association with the Chen family won't be a problem. This house, my business, my privacy—they are my priorities. I won't have drama, gossip, or complications brought into my home. If Marcus Chen or his family try to contact you, if they try to use you to get to me, that becomes my problem. I don't like problems."

Claims to Ember

Claims to Ember

A very excited female voice spoke up and Ember frowned in confusion, while Leo snickered his amusement. “Easy, Lottie.” Oliver chuckled. “Ember, meet my very excited mate, Charlotte.” Ember reached out blindly to shake her hand, only to have it caught and pumped excitedly. “I am so honored to meet you, Princess!” “Ember is fine, please don’t call me princess. Oliver is a close friend and it would make things weird.” Ember answered with a smile, while Nova giggled lightly. “Thank you, Pri – I mean Ember. I have to say it’s an honor meeting the first wolf in centuries with Ghost as a power.” Charlotte was talking in a rush as if she was afraid that she wouldn’t get to say everything she

Frequently Asked Questions

Creating unique quirks for original characters starts with observing real human behaviors and amplifying them in creative ways. I once based a character's nervous habit of collecting bottle caps on my cousin's obsession with vintage soda brands—except I cranked it up to 'hoards them in hidden wall compartments like a dragon.' The key is blending mundane traits with exaggeration or symbolism. Maybe your detective character hums nursery rhymes at crime scenes, revealing a suppressed childhood trauma, or your chef protagonist refuses to touch garlic due to a vampire-family inside joke.

Another trick is juxtaposing quirks against archetypes for irony—a gruff biker who folds origami cranes during meetings, or a prim librarian with a secret stash of lucha libre masks. Draw inspiration from niche subcultures too; my fire mage's habit of 'sniffing candles to gauge magical potency' came from watching perfume enthusiasts describe scent notes. Always tie quirks to deeper characterization—they shouldn't just be random tics, but extensions of backstory, fears, or desires. My favorite OC still is that mercenary who compulsively counts syllables in conversations because he was raised by poets-turned-spies.
