She was dressed impeccably for the meeting, wearing the traditional clothes favored by the tribe’s nobility. Her hair was neatly pinned up on top of her head, adorned with delicate, gold pins that glinted with reflected light, making her appear taller than she actually was. Darius fought the urge to reach out and touch them, lest he ruin whatever chance he may have at convincing her to become his mate.
