Rafe Cameron Movies Novels & Stories

“You haven’t been…yourself today.” Rafe glances to the side to see his mother looking at him curiously. His dad stands on Ella’s other side, listening but pretending he is not. Rafe smirks even as he sighs, appreciating their concern, even if he’s not ready to tell anyone at all what he discovered. After all, Maryam herself doesn’t know. He watched her all day for some sort of sign, but she either ignored him or treated him with disdain. But how could she know? She doesn’t have a wolf.

I almost jumped out of the chair, but I immediately opened it and I knew I’d hit the jackpot. Rafe’s profile was mostly shirtless gym pics, most likely to impress his nonexistent fangirls. I made a mental note to use that against him once I got close to the DeLucas. But for now, I was more interested in the man who kept popping up in the background of his pictures. Adrian.

Rafe nervously stepped up to the door of Mr Jones Vones' house. His parents had told him the tales of Mr Jones Vones. The man's wealth and power, but he had not expected the heavy door before him to be guarded by a man with a gun. Rafe remembered that day like it was yesterday. He had been so scared and confused as he and his family stumbled into the city of Cayton. He was just fifteen years of age. Previously, his friends had told him. He had been warned of the dangers of the city, but the sight of the guards of Mr Jones' grandfather, Mr Cayton, had been the most frightening of all. He had been so hungry and exhausted, but he had never expected to be arrested.

“I’m holding up fine. How are you?” “I’m good.” “Have you seen the news?” “Yes, that’s why I called. How are you feeling Cammy?” “I don’t know. Everything’s a mess. What are they saying about me?” “It’s best you don’t know. Stay off it if you can. It’ll only make you feel worse.” I sighed. “Raffael’s accusing me of stalking her and going to meet her to cause trouble.” “It’s obvious he’s brainwashed by her. Don’t think too much about it. Get some sleep, we’ll talk tomorrow. I love you.”

I whispered. “Nova,” he growled. “Who the fuck is out there?” I wasn’t looking at Cruz anymore. I was staring through a hairline crack in the broken window, and there he was. Rafe. “No,” I breathed. “It’s not possible.” Cruz’s voice dropped to a deadly whisper. “Rafe who?” I turned to him slowly. “Rafe Moretti.” His face changed instantly, filled with rage, disbelief, and shock. “That son of a bitch is dead,” Cruz said. “He died in the raid two years ago. Blade saw the body.”

For the first time, Alejandro felt the crushing weight of pressure—not just from the company crisis, but because Camila was missing. MEANWHILE, AT RAFAEL’S PLACE*** Rafael strode into the house where he was keeping Camila. A smug smile played on his lips as he saw her watching the news. "Your hero seems like he might need saving himself," he mocked, his voice laced with amusement. Camila shot him the coldest glare. "What do you stand to gain from all of this?" she asked sharply. Rafael feigned a look of hurt and sank onto the couch. "Unbelievable. You’re still defending him?"

"You're mine. Fucking mine. No one... No damn one touches what's mine. I'll have their head rolling to the floor and send you their dick to remind you of that. Don't fucking test me, little hornet." His words sent a chill down my spine, my eyes widening in terror-even as the pleasure still throbbed through me. Rafael is a man of his word. What he fucking says, stands. A nd the fact that he was responsible for killing Cole? Only made his threat feel terrifyingly real.

But Callum had a lead. In the shadowed basement of an abandoned textile mill, we met a man named Rafi. He was rail-thin and jittery, his skin gray from too many years underground. “You shouldn’t be looking for Sable,” he muttered. “We don’t have a choice,” Callum said. Rafi’s eyes darted between us. “You don’t find Sable. Sable finds you.” “And how did you survive meeting him?” I asked. Rafi chuckled, a broken sound. “Who said I did?”

I answer. “That’s not what I heard.” My hand tightens around my glass. “What did you hear?” She sips her tea. “That Rafael Vega died screaming.” I lean forward. “If you value your life,” I murmur, “you’ll forget his name.” Her smile fades. “But you didn’t,” she says quietly. “No,” I agree. “I didn’t.” -- That night, Rafe locks the café and turns to me. “Why do people look at me like they’re seeing something they lost?” he asks.

"But he's here. And he's real. And Cael asked us to watch out for his family." Dominic was quiet for a long moment. Then, with the controlled emotion of a man who has decided that managing things is not, in this instance, the right response: "Yes. He did." Rafe appeared in the doorway at the end of the second hour, and the expression on his face was the most open thing I had ever seen from him—raw, moved, badly controlled, and not trying to be otherwise. He looked at Dominic for a long moment. "He looks like him," Rafe said. Just that.
