At the right corner was a desk neatly arranged books at the top. “The Master's study.” I strolled towards the table, my fingers grazing on the furnishings. A certain books at the side of the table caught my attention. Unlike the others it was place in the center of the table with a pen still placed in between. Just as I reached out to take a look. The young girl spoke. “Master, doesn't allow anyone touch that.”

I softly sang as I spotted a table at the corner of the room. I hurriedly walked to it before someone could take it. “Wahla,” I sat comfortably on the chair and exhaled in satisfaction. The books on my chest were placed neatly on the table, and Bella took one of them. “How to get away with murder. Wait, are you trying to kill someone?” She gasped, shock written on her face. I laughed at her reaction and shook my head. “I'm just reading it for fun,” I answered, but the suspicion on her face didn't go away. I picked one of the books and went to read.

I didn't know that Jacob was being bullied by his cousins. I closed the fridge again then went to the living room. There was nothing interesting in the living room so I decided to go to the balcony. I just stopped when something caught my eye. I frowned and approached the center table where there were a few books and magazines placed underneath. In the very center of the book there is a photograph sticking out.

We reach the library and there’s no one in here. “Why the library is so dead, why don’t people come here and reading some books” I say as I look around the place. “Chill, this place is always full anytime, you will see that soon” Z says, she walks towards the librarian desk. I follow her and pull a chair closer to her and I sit next to her. Z grabs some book from the rack and place them on the desk. “Look!” She shows me the book. “Gosh!” I almost yelp. “Shhhsss…” Z shushes me and she put her index finger to my lips.

Sticking out slightly more than the others on a low shelf, almost concealed by shadow because of where it sits, I spot a green book and go to it immediately. “This?” I call out to Sierra, pointing down and she looks around and gasps in glee. “If I didn’t know better I would think you’re part witch. The books are calling to you as though you are.” She beams at me joyfully and I frown it away and go back to the table as she slides it free. Remembering we can’t touch without her say so and eager to get this done. Sierra brings it to the table and flicks through quickly, finding a dog-eared page and Meadow eye rolls dramatically. The books were arranged like in the study room, from the floor to the ceiling – but this one was far more enormous than the latter. In the study room, there were built-in ladders on the side of each of the shelves to get the books she needed up to the ceiling. Unlike here, they were using wood ladders to get the needed books, most especially at the higher part of the shelf. It was better, though, because they could move it from one shelf to another. She loved to read, and she was really fascinated – it made her want to discover new things from the book itself. There were ten wooden rectangular tables placed in the center of the room – each had five wooden chairs with foam on it.

I think of my devious plan as I choose a book to read in Deimos's private library. Sitting on the warm couch in front of the window, I begin to shut down my thoughts letting the book devourer me. Further into the book, I became so engrossed that I didn't notice that there was another Alpha in the room sitting opposite to me. Keeping my eyes on the page, my hands reach towards the coffee cup on the side table.

As if they are some futuristic weapons. Shrugging, I sit down on the silo chair and desk in the room. There is a feather and ink as well as a big book. I try opening the book but it is stuck. I try to pry the pages open but it is a futile attempt. The book just won't budge.

"Don't do anything stupid if you don't want to die here." Boys... I take a deep breath and get up. I arrange the books with me and places them on the table beside my lamp. I notice the fruit and get the plate and finish them all. They are like a child in a grown man's body. I take another deep breath after I finish the fruit and put the bowl on the floor.

Taking note of the books for Rose, that I will take along with me when I visit home. I can already hear her laugh when she sees it, feel her small hand tugging me toward the couch back home, insisting it’s time to read. I tuck the book under my arm and grab a seat near the window. The light falls across the page just right. My brain is quieter here, in between shelves, surrounded by words. Quieter, but not silent. It keeps cataloging anyway. The scrape of a chair leg across the floor. The barista’s glance at the clock. The soft shuffle of pages turning three tables away.
