She inclined her head towards the small table beside the couch and I took a step closer to it, lifting up the books to examine them. Something twitched in my jaw and I ground my teeth together as I stared at the books in my hand. 'A Luna's guide around a pack' 'How to be a good luna.' 'The ideal Luna.'

As if they are some futuristic weapons. Shrugging, I sit down on the silo chair and desk in the room. There is a feather and ink as well as a big book. I try opening the book but it is stuck. I try to pry the pages open but it is a futile attempt. The book just won't budge.

"Don't do anything stupid if you don't want to die here." Boys... I take a deep breath and get up. I arrange the books with me and places them on the table beside my lamp. I notice the fruit and get the plate and finish them all. They are like a child in a grown man's body. I take another deep breath after I finish the fruit and put the bowl on the floor.

Taking note of the books for Rose, that I will take along with me when I visit home. I can already hear her laugh when she sees it, feel her small hand tugging me toward the couch back home, insisting it’s time to read. I tuck the book under my arm and grab a seat near the window. The light falls across the page just right. My brain is quieter here, in between shelves, surrounded by words. Quieter, but not silent. It keeps cataloging anyway. The scrape of a chair leg across the floor. The barista’s glance at the clock. The soft shuffle of pages turning three tables away.

I finished stacking the last of the empty boxes in the library. I had already unpacked most of the books and only had a few more to put on the shelves. As I carried a small stack of books toward one of the back shelves, I heard a strange noise near the reading area. Was someone there? I stepped closer and was shocked to see Zach sitting at a table reading. What the hell is he doing here again? I turned on my heel to walk away, but suddenly, he was standing right in front of me.

I didn't know that Jacob was being bullied by his cousins. I closed the fridge again then went to the living room. There was nothing interesting in the living room so I decided to go to the balcony. I just stopped when something caught my eye. I frowned and approached the center table where there were a few books and magazines placed underneath. I heard a chair dragged opposite from mine and hear someone settled it. There's a vacant chair over there why can't he just sit on it instead of making me uncomfortable. " Hey, " I heard him against my book. Should I respond? " Hey, " I answered. I put down my book and let him see my solemn expression in reading to show him I'm busy that he shouldn't talk to me. I got no respond and it's good. My eyes are all focused in the book but my mind's not. I tried to focus my mind but the presence of the unwanted person in front of me keep pushing my concentration away.

The place was still filled with a few cobwebs here and there and a huge rack of books closed tight in their own glass framed racks and a long rectangular study table stood in the middle with atleast ten chairs. 'Are they some secret history books?' Jessica says approaching the book rack 'We're here to escape' I remind Jessica and she rolls her eye and turns to approach the table. 'Sis' she yells out suddenly. 'What?' I yell back jerking.

I rolled my eyes at him before closing my eyes tightly, counting from one to ten to calm my nerves. Fhyra, you are in a library, there are books. You can't play with fire here. I keep on reminding myself of my location before sharply glaring at him and walked to a nearby table. The book was too heavy for me so it would be very uncomfortable reading it while standing. He immediately followed me and leaned on a wall beside the table with his arms crossed in front of his chest. I placed the book on the table, untied the knotted twigs, and slowly opened the book.
