I spot Kaine rushing at it and groan in frustration. "So proud," I mutter when the monster flings him away like a rag doll. I cringe as he hits the ground hard, sighing when he slowly sits up. He looks around, his body swaying a little. I turn my attention back to the monster. My lips curls upward in disgust. It stands dozens of meters tall, its chest glowing red with each rattling breath. It has four legs and at least a dozen eyes that move separately. I jog over to the warriors, about to ask why they are keeping their distance when a tail suddenly slams to the ground in front of us. I leap back with a curse, my eyes flying wide.

Severin nodded approvingly and said, "Now that the metal Uru has been successfully gathered, it's time to move on to the next destination." In the midst of preparing to depart, a furious roar echoed from the meteorite belt. The epicenter of the disturbance revealed a massive meteorite exploding open to reveal a colossal monster. Standing at the size of a small hill, the monster was covered in silver-white scales and resembled a crocodile. It glared down at Severin with a menacing gaze, and its eyes were glowing in a cold, green light. An overpowering aura ruptured the surrounding space, unleashing a tempest of Nine Heavens Gale and elements that surrounded the monster.

Trixie looked at Dradon as he took a step back. “Oh yes, I am real. I’m not just a story told in the bible as one of the creators first creations or a folklore to you half breeds.” The monster said as he stepped out of the darkness. He was almost the size of Dradon’s dragon form, he looked like a dragon too, but had two long horns that curled backwards, his teeth were sharp, and long like a human arm. “Ooohhh, shit we about to die ain’t it?” Trixie whispered to Dradon, as she looked at the monster that wanted her. “Yea, we might be.” Dradon whispered as they both took steps back.

As we walked, Tommy explained the game to me. “It's called MonsterGo,” he said, pulling out his cell phone. “You open up the app and then monsters pop up on your screen. They can show up anywhere, so you have to run all over town to find them.” Tommy snatched my phone out of my hand and quickly downloaded the game for me. “There, now you can play too,” he said. I shrugged, seeing the game as the perfect opportunity to distract myself from the misery that was job hunting. We ran around the park for a bit and it wasn't long before I caught my first monster. It was called a “Stingly.”

But, just as I was about to retreat, the monster appeared. "What exactly would that be?" Moritz inquired, pointing to the sand rushing towards us. "Sandcrawler!" I yelled. And then we all split up, unsheathing our swords. I sprang forward as the sand surged at me, gradually revealing the monster beneath. A lengthy worm-like monster with a thousand jaws capable of mutilating any living being. Clang! I slashed the beast in one swift motion, quickly drawing my sword. The only difference is that the expected outcome did not occur. This was the first time I wasn't able to kill a monster with a single strike.

Startled by the sudden attack, Zen summoned his daggers and slashed wildly, but the mysterious monster only laughed and swam behind Zen, hugging him and restraining his limbs from moving. Without underwater breathing, Zen could feel himself slowly drowning. The monster's incredible strength and tough scales prevented Zen from causing enough damage. Lime could not be summoned underwater, and the gamer cussed. Even with Mandy’s Melody, he was helpless against sudden attacks. Beneath the lake, he heard laughter and singing voices. He eventually saw a group of them circling him deep under the lake. These monsters were almost as pretty as the regular Pixie Parasols. The only difference was how th
