I held my hand in front of my eyes, struggling to see in front me. A thin split in air emerged and burst into a booming rotating circle. Two tall figures fell on the floor with a thundering sound. The radiating energy from that portal is so strong, that it was nearly impossible to take a step in its direction. My legs had glued to the floor, at the uncertain event. Suddenly, lights are sucked into the unknown as the environment of the office comes to normal. As I opened my eyes, my mouth went wide open, watching the two Orson in front of me. An arrow hit one of them, and the other was holding him. Droplets of sweat were rolling down his foreheads and his dress was splashed in fresh blood.

Chapter 27 – Grace Holding my hand out, I watch as a Rager walks past our hiding spot, his greasy blonde hair slicked back and his dirty clothes indicating he has just returned. This wolf must have been on the night watch. The redhead and I look at each other and she points to the right side – the side this Rager came from – and mouths exit to me. I grin, turning just in time to watch the Rage disappear into a door way giving us a clear path to the exit.

I mutter. Raven slides back, her movement is slick as oil, halfway out of the kitchen. I clock her movements, but I pretend not to. My grip on his wrist tightens until I feel something shift beneath the skin. I grasp him harder until I hear his bones pop. I don't stop at the pop, and I don't stop because she starts to cry. Pop. He winces. Tries to yank away again. Raven continues to cry. Of course she does. She's stuck in the loop again. The trauma carousel. She built it. Only she can step off.

Just Rahul. She ran away from him. She ran and ran until she could no longer run because her head rotated in various directions. "Anya!" She heard Ronan's voice again but she didn't turn back this time and kept running because as much as she wanted to see Ronan, she didn't want to see Rahul's face because she knew that's exactly what would happen. As she ran the light slowly faded away and darkness consumed her once again.

Nala licks her dry lips and breathes deeply as she knows the scent is fading slowly. Nala pulls out her conversation when she finds out Raymond doesn't like it. "I was wondering, did you come indeed to look after me?" Raymond shifts his body to face Nala. Stare right into Nala's bead without blinking. "That's right, Nala. You have me. Although this is a consequence of Ray having half-human blood. But Ray's happy because it's Nala," he said. Ray groped his chest, then continued. "Here is a sign of ownership that already existed when Ray was born. Since Ray is half-human, Ray's owner can have Ray and do whatever he wants but Ray can't have one."

After a few more seconds she then let me go from her arms and started to turn and walk over to the wolf that continued to stand there waiting. “Sara, please. I don’t understand, please help me understand what’s happening to me.” I called out to her, I wanted to run to her but my legs wouldn’t move. She stopped and turned her head and looked back at me. She smiled. “It’s okay Jane, you will. Everything will soon make sense. I love you little sister.” She said. With one last look, she continued to walk towards the wolf, and as she stood in front of it. Before my eyes she took form into her wolf, her wolf was a reddish-brown.

No one was to disturb RenRan. RenRan never stepped in to mediate or save anyone, but she did not enjoy the spectacle either. It was also getting depressing for RenRan that even now, she could not enjoy the sights that the book had described. It was still all glitter and sparkles. So, at least half the time, she spaced out and mentally rehearsed her martial arts and ways she could deal with FanHai. She also thought of all the things she would do once she was free.
