That's when I saw that Gamer Frozen was online. Then, I sent him a request, but instead of asking to play, I asked if he wanted to chat. He replied, "Yeah, is everything alright, though?" I hesitated before responding, "No, but I need someone to listen to me right now. Anybody at all." A few minutes passed before Gamer Frozen replied, "Sorry for taking so long to respond. I'm here now. You can talk to me, lay everything out. I'll listen and won't judge."

Keon sat in the low glow of his gaming room, eyes glued to the monitor as his fingers danced across the keyboard and mouse. The rhythmic clicking echoed through the room, the sound of rapid-fire shots and explosions filling the air as he maneuvered his character through an intense solo match. On the screen, his avatar weaved through enemy fire, jumping between platforms and dodging obstacles in a futuristic, high-tech battlefield—a game that required not just skill but lightning-fast reflexes.

The building looked run down from the outside but when I walked in it was actually pretty nice. Rows of high end gaming computers. RGB lights everywhere making everything glow blue and purple and green. The sounds of mechanical keyboards clicking and game audio blasting filled the space. It was mostly young guys hunched over their screens. Completely absorbed in whatever they were playing. I spotted ApexGamer23 in the back corner. He had told me he'd be wearing a red hoodie. He waved when he saw me. I walked over. "Hi. ApexGamer23?" "That's me. But you can call me Idris." He smiled and gestured to the chair across from him. "Sit. You want anything to drink? They have good energy drinks here.

Note to self: Ask Adrian who they were later. With nothing else to do, I spent the day reading a book on my phone but got bored and ended up playing different video games, or—more accurately—getting my ass handed to me in a game called ‘Warzone Legion Xr’. A hyper-realistic shooting game that puts players into an underground warzone where criminals, assassins, and mercenaries fight for their freedom, using everything from different weapons and strategic sabotage, very Antonio-like. I kept losing to a player called WadeSlasher, and somewhere between our eighth or ninth match, I discovered, each loss cost me three thousand dollars.

The two of them headed to the house's gaming room. Inside, there were top-of-the-line gaming computers. Grace and Caleb started playing a tower defense game. The game was called "Legends of Triumph" and had nearly 800 million registered users worldwide. After playing only two rounds, they were thoroughly defeated by the opposing team. Grace, feeling defeated, slumped in her gaming chair. "Caleb, we're terrible. We need some help." "Okay, I'll arrange for some assistance right away."

- to continue his studies. Frank didn't even care about John's reaction anymore. He quickly joined the game with Z. The game was a highly popular first person shooter game called "PUBG Mobile," where a certain number of players were placed in a server and were given a specific amount of time to kill all their opponents. The duo's skills were top-notch, and they didn't need to put in much effort. They immediately killed anyone they saw with just one shot. Frank kept chattering on the side. [Z, where have you been all these years? Why did you only show up now?]

Pat - "No questions, just play. It's 1v1 this time. You will play four games with four different players this time." Jc didn't care, logging his account on the most popular game until now, a team-based strategy game where two teams of five powerful champions face off to destroy the other's base. This game is 'Glory Legends' "Welcome back, Grandpa07!" Pat - "Pffft! Hahaha." Seeing Jc's nickname again, he couldn't contain his laughter anymore. Jc - "Okay, you triggered me now, a thousand for every win, or else I'll just go now."

My breath comes out shaky. I force myself to glance at the phone in my hand. The site looks like it was built in the shadows—dark background, bold red names, icons flashing like they’re breathing. The two fighters are listed with codenames: Red Reaper and Goliath. Beneath their names, odds glow in bright numbers—Red Reaper: -180, Goliath: +220. The slimmer man, Reaper, has better odds. A favorite. Fast. Deadly. And it’s the bulkier one, Goliath—who looks like he could crush a skull with one swing—that is surprisingly the underdog. Next to their names, there’s a pulsing red button that says PLACE BET—$100,000.

¨ The leader asked. ¨ She's off radar, I can't locate her¨, he said impatiently and the leader's jaws ticked. ¨Boss, Nacho detected enemy waves in operation here in Denver¨, Gary reported as he walked to Sebastian who was lounging with a glass of vodka. ¨Any impact¨, he asked slowly and unbothered. Gary shook his head, ¨it was for a short period and was quickly disconnected before Nacho could detect what type it was¨, he added and Sebastian put the glass down. He looked downcast as he mumbled something inaudibly, taking Gary by surprise.

He was smiling at him and was still sitting on that little cloud. "Welcome to Steel Soul Online! I'll be your AI assistant in the game too, so feel free to ask me anything!" stars illuminated the darkness, and beautiful nebulas formed different and colorful shapes. In front of him appeared three little orbs that looked like planets. Every planet is for a different type of player: the first one is for the ones focused on magic, and the second on technology, but each one has a little of the other system, so you can freely visit anyone you want. The third one is the chaotic zone that many people know as the underworld, meant for players seeking a challenge in their gameplay. You can choose one
