These good hours that he/she would invest in a good read would leave a little smile on their everyday gloomy faces. After reading the whole series of Harry Potter I was aspired to be one of their kind. I even put the protective charms outside my room, to keep away all the evil and I believe it sort of worked. I grew up reading Shakespeare, Conan Doyle, Ruskin Bond, Agatha Christie, Jane Austen, William Wordsworth, John Green, Lemony Snicket and many such marvelous writers and poets. Though one may not be able to create stories or write poems, one can always entertain themselves by reading the enriching literature that lets you explore the world, without having to move your feet.

She was slowly becoming agitated as Harry kept on staring at her and waiting for a reply. "That was a long time ago, Harry, how would you expect me to remember?" Harry raised an eyebrow, staring at her suspiciously. If there was one thing he was certain about, his little girl would never ever forget her favorite book. She talked about it a lot and it seems she read the book more than fifty times. Harry remembewred the fact that she used to explain the book to him, hook line and synched. "Well, it's Throne of glass..." He replied, still looking her up suspiciously.

The weather was a bit chilly, so she grabbed a black hoodie and shrugged it on then walked out of the room. She sauntered into the kitchen and found a redhead sitting on the island absentmindedly munching an apple, totally engrossed in the book she was holding. Najmah had wanted to step out but the title of the book caught her attention, so she walked in and right that moment, the redhead glanced up from her book and settled her gaze on Najmah. "Harry Potter and the cursed child huh?" Najmah smiled at her. "Yeah," the redhead beamed, placing a bookmark on the page before setting the book on the island. "Have you read it?"

Books are oxygen for the literate. For me, there's no other way to breathe. Breathing comes naturally to living organisms. For a nerd with a perfect attendance record and zero friends, air fills my lungs, and words fill my head. I like filling my head with facts, opinions, and fanfiction. There's nothing better than reading Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings fanfics on a Friday night.

I'm reading Harry Potter on the couch, at Ana's insistence. Despite my first impressions of the book, mainly that it seemed geared toward children and not me, Harry Potter is turning out to be a very interesting read. I can't really relate to the main character missing his parents, but I can relate to his dislike for his living family members and his joy at leaving them behind and making new, unexpected friends. Sensing that it must be late, I check the time and see that it's 11:30, much later than Ana is usually out in the living room. I glance over at the table to see her head nodding at the same tempo as the foot-tapping. She is still intent on the Glock. I wonder if she realizes how late

(Harper’s POV) “I’m sorry, what now?” I stared at Harry, dumbfounded. He flicked through some more pages of the book and then turned it to face me. I apprehensively looked down at the book. The page was titled “Bloodline” and there was a picture of a wicked-looking blade down one side. The writing was a little faded and handwritten, but despite all that, it felt so familiar and I could read it, like it was something I had read a thousand times before.

Memories of me and Ethan sprawled on my bed or my bedroom floor reading books together, guessing each other’s Hogwarts house. It was Friday afternoon. As the classes were over before noon, I had called Jake over to help me pack all my stuff for the move. Anya would have helped, but she was in her office and had called in to make sure Jake and Andrew were behaving. “Is that Harry Potter?!” Andrew exclaimed, rushing into my room and leaning down to see the books with his big brown eyes. I grinned at him and let him see the books. “My mom gifted it to me when I was ten.”
