Reading Novel Novels & Stories

I finally had a moment to breathe. Pulling out my phone, I opened my favorite novel app. I scrolled through until I landed on the one I’d recently started reading—a supernatural romance set in a world not too different from my own, except with packs, blood ties, and fated mates. A small smile curved my lips as I dove into the story. I don’t know how long I sat there, lost in the fictional world. The real one melted away with every swipe of the screen. My eyes scanned eagerly across each line, and I found myself smiling, frowning, even softly gasping at certain twists.

I busy myself by reading the latest, number one best-selling romance novel I downloaded from Amazon for the trip. I don't normally read for entertainment. I read for work, for research, or for news. I thought this would make for good vacation reading. It was overwhelming, trying to choose the perfect book. I was not looking for sappy fantasy relationships where the world seems perfect. I chose a rough guy, a spunky woman, and a relationship of opposites full of turmoil. I am five chapters in as we land in Kansas City.

If you don’t read novels, then you would not know, but writers described characters so nicely that you could picture them, and you know Ryan in that novel was just like you—dark, handsome, with a perfect Greek god physique. Neil became shunned hearing her; the look on her face was something of a dream. She was lost... lost in the imaginary male lead of the novel that obviously made him jealous... Other things don’t matter at the moment. As he got up, suddenly grabbing her waist, he asked, "What did you say? "You are not reading this sh*t anymore." "Why not? I will do whatever pleases me and read it... You are the one who gave me that gift; what happened to you suddenly? "Why are you saying t

After the necessary check-ins, I paid for extended hours in the downtown loft, and as soon as I sat down on one of the sofas, I took off my jacket and my heels then dove into the pages of one of my favorite novels. After reading quietly for a while, the other woman in the room looked up and smiled. “I don't know you but you are a gem for choosing that particular edition of that Novel. See, I am reading the same but I don't know why people complain about it.” I smiled back and replied. “It's a more concise version but readers want every greedy little detail.” She laughed at my description and I couldn't help but think that she looked oddly familiar, as if I had seen her before.

“Only if you read it out loud.” I raised a brow. “Really?” “Yeah,” he said, pulling me closer. “I like your voice. And I like the way your mouth moves when you’re focused.” I rolled my eyes, but my cheeks heated anyway. I reached over, grabbed the worn novel, and settled back on his chest. He rested one hand on my thigh and the other behind his head, looking completely at peace. I flipped to the first page and started reading. It was a story where a girl leaving a town that no longer felt like home, finding herself in unfamiliar places, learning how to build something new from all the pieces that used to hurt.

“These novels from GoodNovel keep me sane from everything going on. And the stories on that site are really interesting. From page one, you wouldn’t even realize when you’ve reached page one hundred.” I shook my head helplessly. “How do you even get the books delivered?” “I subscribed to their membership. Every month, they send a delivery guy to bring one novel from my library.” “So what are you reading?” “Someone recommended this novel to me, ‘Bound to the Mafia’. And I kid you not, from page one, I’ve been hooked. I think you should read it too… you remind me of one of the characters.” “Mom! You know I don’t have time to read novels.”

she said as she stood up hastily. Claretta just smiled, taking some files from another employee. Claretta watched in surprise, many of them were busy playing on their cell phones rather than busy doing their work in front of the computer. "What are you doing?" asked Claretta curiously. Several people started to gather around him and show them their electronic novels. "Look at this!" suddenly a cell phone pointed at Claretta's face. For a moment, Claretta saw the title of the novel 'Knight and 4 Ultimate'. Claretta skimmed the title of the online novel and Claretta felt dizzy at their behavior.

She raised her brows. “Seriously?” He narrowed his eyes at her. “Yes, seriously! Ah yous should check it out too, come I’ll read it out to you, it’s great!” She clapped her hands in excitement. “No thank you, you know I don’t read romance,” He shook his head. “But it’s a unique one,” She protested, “A popular mystery/thriller writer is thrown inside her own novel! How cool is that?” “Hmm?” he raised his brows. “Did it pick your interest?” She wiggled her brows. “Ah, the guy has the same name as you, by the way,” She added.

What better way to eliminate boredom than by reading a book? I had recently downloaded a reading app, where you can read your favourite stories of different genres. Right now I am reading a novel called Loving Hayden. It is about two teens who were once archenemies but later became friends with their enemies. Okay, maybe not friends with benefits, more like enemies with benefits. I was eager to see where their relationship was going to lead. I continue to flip through my phone as I read the story. I was so engrossed with the story that I didn't realize how much time had passed. I was disturbed by the sound of a knock at the door.
