Fated to the Enemy

Fated to the Enemy

James does the same as we leave for the meeting. As we run out the front door I can hear Alva yelling behind us, “Do not think that this conversation is over!” James and I head over to the town hall. It is the only building large enough to hold the members of the pack. “Do you know what you are going to say?” James asks as we push open the doors. As the doors open, every eye of the pack is on me. “Kind of…” I trail off as I approach the podium. Approaching the crowd, I clear my throat and raise my hand, asking for silence. All of the eyes are on me as the crowd starts to quiet.

RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE EX-HUSBAND CHASED ME BACK

RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE EX-HUSBAND CHASED ME BACK

“A town hall. Public. Raw. No speeches. Just… honesty.” He frowned. “That’s risky. Especially if they ask about Jeff.” “I’ll answer.” “Even if it breaks you?” I looked him straight in the eye. “Especially then.” ***** Saturday arrived like a storm. The town hall was packed. Locals, reporters, old farmers, young students. All jammed into the high school gym where I once gave a speech about water rights. Now I stood on the same stage, hands unclenched, throat dry. Letty sat front row. Marcus beside her, recording.

The Pack's Triquetra

The Pack's Triquetra

Diana waved back with a smile before resuming making hot drinks. The foyer of the town hall reminded Aislen of the annual Kabramatta comic con - an overwhelmingly busy, organized chaos. There were fold out tables of supplies such as maps, radios, and first aid kits, cork boards with maps studded with different coloured pins, and white boards scrawled with updates such as: “Tree down on Haldercott Road,” and “cattle escape on Jamison.”

Fantastic follow up to the first book. I keep going back to the first one to reread the corresponding chapters. It’s so good to see all the perspectives. I cannot wait to see what happens next. Such a clever way to present a story. I’m hooked. I’ll read anything this author puts out at this point.

Borrowing Amor

Borrowing Amor

“This is perfect, thank you.” Phillip nodded and left as quickly as he had entered. “What is this all about?” Sam asked, apprehension turning his gut inside out. In answer to his question, Zoe grabbed the TV remote and clicked it on to the lunchtime news. A line of women snaked around a downtown building, all clutching pieces of paper. But that wasn’t just any building, Sam realized. That was Town Hall. A woman holding a microphone stood center stage, speaking to her TV audience. Zoe turned the volume up.

The Heiress’s Ruthless Revenge

The Heiress’s Ruthless Revenge

She remained still for a few seconds, her heart unsettled, before slowly walking back inside the house. *** Damien stepped out of the car once they arrived at the so-called town hall. He paused for a moment, his eyes narrowing as he studied the plain-looking building. From the outside, it looked far too ordinary...hardly the kind of place where powerful men would gather to discuss millions. "This is it, sir," one of his men said respectfully.

DAWN

DAWN

" and the horn of Mr. Chinedu's car interrupted the conversation or perhaps the lies he wanted to cook up. In the town hall known as the London Town hall, we sat while Mr. Chinedu stood at the podium like the Reverend in church. About twenty persons with their notice paper were seated in the hall alongside Razzi. why is Razzi here? I thought. It was obvious he represented his cabal to gather information on what was going on and since his entry was determined by a notice, he came with one, afterall, they shared it so they must have lots of them in store. Layo wasn't in the hall. I texted him but still had no reply. Meanwhile My father's friend Shadrach James was in the hall too. I told Mr. C

STUCK WITH MR. BILLIONAIRE FOR CHRISTMAS

STUCK WITH MR. BILLIONAIRE FOR CHRISTMAS

"We need you! They’ve got contracts and signatures. People are losing their homes and nobody knows what to do! Please, Cinnamon! Please." "Where are you?" I managed to ask. "Town hall. Hurry—" Then the line went dead. I stood there for three heartbeats, my suitcase zipped up behind me, New York calling. Finally, I grabbed my keys and stepped out of the house. *** The town hall was a hive of chaos. People were huddled in groups, voices rising in confusion and anger. Mrs. Patterson held a stack of papers tightly, tears streaming down her face. Mr. Davies from the hardware store paced near the entrance, phone pressed to his ear, his face bright red.

An Alpha Bound By The Moon

An Alpha Bound By The Moon

Held in the community hall’s strategy room, the long wooden table was covered with maps, ledgers, and steaming mugs of tea. “As we all know,” Jason began, standing at the head of the table, “our town is growing fast. It’s time we stop thinking of ourselves as a small country town. We’ve become something more.” The town planner, a tall man with sandy grey hair and a notebook full of scrawled diagrams, cleared his throat. “That’s true. From a planning standpoint, we’ve technically reached the threshold to be classified as a rural city. And with the incoming pups, we’re only going to grow larger.”
