Reading Town Hall Novels & Stories

The damn place had been neglected for far too long. The town hall was once used for dances, bake sales, and all that bullshit. Once the renovations were complete, I ensured the pack knew the place would be available as it once was. Most now book the hall for wedding receptions. The pack schools also hire out the hall for anything from school dances to stage plays. Of course, mating ceremonies are held on pack grounds, officiated by me. Mine and Gianna’s ceremony and reception will be held there. I’m not a damn commoner, and I won’t be having my ceremony in the damn Town Hall.

" I was utterly disappointed when Jack started threatening me using Daniel. "Get out!" I yelled, pointing at the elevator. Jack straightened his collar and waved casually. "See you at 9:00 am tomorrow in the office. Don't let me down, honey." He deliberately emphasized the word "honey" before turning and walking away. I sank to the floor, finally letting my tears fall. My phone buzzed. William had sent a voice message in the company-wide group chat. "I'm calling for a town hall meeting tomorrow at 9:00 am. We will be addressing serious violations by certain senior executives. The company will not tolerate misconduct."

I thanked her, gathered the jacket Calen had brought for me the previous evening, and walked out of the hospital into the cold morning air. The council meeting was being held at a property on the west side of the city, a townhouse that the authority had used for gatherings for as long as anyone could remember. I arrived to find the ground floor lit up and audible from the street, voices layered over each other in a way that meant there were more people inside than I’d expected. I pushed the door open.

"I'm not nervous." "Liar." But there was no heat in it. I finally risked a glance at him. He was focused on the road, but there was the hint of a smile playing at his lips. He shifted gears into work mode. "The mayor's office called yesterday. The town hall renovation is going over budget. We want to renegotiate our bid, see if we can bring the costs down without compromising quality." I blinked, turning his words over in my head. "How much over?"

“But I’ve never been more certain about what I’m doing.” She smiled softly. “Then let him try.” The following Monday, I held the first town hall meeting with the full staff—executives, assistants, interns. It had never been done before. I stood before them, no podium, no ego, and laid it all bare. “Yes, I’m young. Yes, i have messed up before . But I was raised inside these walls. I know the rot that’s settled here, and I know how to clean it. Not with brute force. With integrity.”

"If you want them to believe the Mack Group is a threat, you should invite the people here. You should host a 'Town Hall' in the lobby. Show them the 'sledgehammer' prototype—or at least the data from it. Show them that you have nothing to hide." Genevieve paused, her eyes narrowing as she considered the idea. A "Town Hall" in the lobby. A direct, unfiltered appeal to the people of Wisteria. It was a bold, unconventional move—the kind of move a true leader would make. "And the Macks?" Genevieve asked. "Invite them too," Davina suggested, a slow, predatory smile spreading across her face—though Genevieve couldn't see it.

So, Dorren discussed the rumors with them. It turned out that someone from Temple Road worked at the city hall and had just reported the news. It was said that the city hall had invested in Temple Road's land. They were planning for a three-way partnership with Lumigen and Bellenuite.

Everyone knew the Thomases, as with most founding families, they were hot topics to gossip about. The town hall had mementoes of the Thomases, but only of those that did not make scandal.
